I have to admit, Cafe York was really wonderful. It's a fun atmosphere to be in, and the menu and service is pretty great. Every thing that we ordered was extremely fresh and delicious. And workers were very polite and courteous. Cafe York, wish I could come here more often.
Be careful with their salads... bit on a rock while eating mine. Scary considering I could have swallowed it. They were quick to give a refund, but I probably wouldn't trust their salads again. Please don't chance it with children who might actually swallow it

I had a really good experience in here. I'm not sure why the reviews are so negative. The place is clean and the prices appear reasonable to me. There's no place to sit to eat so the name "Cafe" is deceiving. The man behind the counter was dealing with the customers very nice and the same with me. It was a good place to stop for a bottle of water. I could see myself buying a bagel and walking to the East River Esplanade to sit to eat. I'll be back.....
