A boutique restaurant with intimate seating that serves quality haute cuisine. It's special menu is focused on quality.

Farbulous food. Nice ambiance. My husband and I ate at the bar, talking with the bartender, Eddy Hot fois gras was so tasty, duck breat and black bass were excellent. Will definitely come back. Recommend to make a reservation.

My friend and I got severe food poisoning from the salami here. I personally had debilitating stomach pain and weakness and had to call in sick the next two days with severe discomfort. I would have probably had to take the third day as well if it hadn't been a Saturday. My friend had severe diarrhea and called in sick the following day as well. This put my new job in jeopardy as well as caused potential long term health consequences as there was certainly significant damage done to my stomach, kidneys, pancreas and bloodstream. Dealing with cured meats, it's very important that great care and attention is paid to the product being stored and sold. These people were obviously very careless if not malicious. I felt like I had been assaulted. Very dangerous.

I came to this restaurant on a Wednesday evening n July, with a friend who frequents it. We sat at the bar. I politely ordered a large bottle of sparkling water alongside my drink. The bartender told us dismissively there aren't large bottles of sparkling, only large bottles of flat. Soda on tap? No. Any soda? Small bottles only. Ok, small bottle it is. The bartender then forgot to bring the sparkling water after three polite reminders. When he did bring us two glasses of lukewarm water, it turned out that while my friend's was sparkling, mine was flat. I raised this to the bartender, but instead of looking at what's in the glass, he chose to argue how he poured it from a bottle of sparkling and took the whole affair as a personal offense, aggressively throwing the bottle into the trash in front of all of the guests. Why am I writing so much about a bottle of water you might ask? Because your experience at any bar or restaurant shouldn't involve dealing with a bully bartender in a bad mood.

Danny always has the best charcuterie! We love to come here for a good drink and a delicious meat & cheese board!

I was pretty excited about checking this place out as who doesn't love a good wine bar. Furthermore, the reviews were great. However, I am sad to admit, aside from my delicious Spanish white wine and the adorable ambiance, I was disappointed. I do think their $7 glasses of wine and $5 appetizers are a great deal for happy hour (5:30-7pm). Yet, the service was eh and the food wasn't great at all. The food is diner quality at best and that to me is insulting for an upscale wine bar. Since I had everything on the happy hour menu, I will review, American grilled cheese - legit processed American cheese (not real cheese) on terrible white bread. I felt like I was going camping and this was all we had left in terms of food rations. Taco: shrimp, yuzu crème fraiche, smoked chili, guacamole, radish, soft corn tortilla-one taco with 3 shrimp. Meh. Crab Cake: blue crab, smoked mayo, old bay, arugula-pretty sure this was frozen and just reheated. Pigs in a blanket - they took off the menu. (Again, how does great European wine pair with crappy American food...I don't get it). BLT-I've seen dinners make BLT's 100x better than this. Lobster slider: lobster, tarragon mayo, meyer lemon, brioche bun - my favorite thing on the happy hour menu, still not that great. Bartender/waiter wasn't super friendly. At one point we were the only ones at the bar and he barely acknowledged us. I always enjoy a friendly bartender (personally). Maybe I need to go back outside of happy hour and order something off the regular menu...can't go wrong with cheese and wine. In any case, I've had better...

Just discovered this amazing little wine bar / charcuterie on east 84th between 1st and 2nd Avenue. It has a downtown vibe that is sorely needed in this alternately stuffy and sports bar neighborhood. Happy hour runs until 7:30 pm with $7 wines and 3$ beer!

I mean, you can't go wrong with meat and cheese in my book. An intimate spot with pretty solid eats and a nice wine list. The foie gras was beautifully silky and flavorful, the Bonne Bouche was delicious but a painfully small portion, and the serrano ham was perfect. Also tried the spaghetti and Frenchie sandwich which were pretty good. If I were to go back, would stick with wine, bread, cheese and meat and maybe pass on the larger plates. A nice addition to the neighborhood!

Originally a but stuffy as a bistro now feels right as a wine and cheese place with small plates for sharing. Could quickly become a favorite in the neighborhood.

Truth be told, the Owner/Chef, Danny Brown drawn us here. I need to remind myself, this is a Bar and Charcuterie, not a restaurant. We walked through what seemed like a 20-foot glass door that gave way to a narrow and dimly lit dining area, followed by a lengthy bar. I thought to myself, this is different from his previously owned Queens restaurant, which was in fact named after him. And different it was! We sampled quite a few of their plates (small), charcuterie tasting boards, cocktails and wines. Wine by the bottles were civilly priced as compare to other places. We had a wonderful experience. Although Charc is quite small, we didn't feel rushed and our waitress was super accommodating.

Highly recommended for drinks and appetizers. Nice choices of cheese and charcuterie. Broad drink, beer and wine selection. Great cozy neighborhood atmosphere. Definitely worth hanging out here before dinner elsewhere in the area.

The best charcuterie I've had, hands down. The rest of the menu, and the drinks, less unique and less inspired. Nonetheless, solid (if pricey) date spot on the UES. Fun staff.

This was such a great experience and a welcome addition to the neighborhood! We were greeted by two sweet waitresses who seated us right away for brunch. I asked if they had happy hour options during the week and they walked us through the offering and gave us samples of the red and white wines (both delish and selected intentionally to pair well with most meats and cheeses - 5:30 to 7:30 on weekdays; $7 wine, $5 beer). Michelin star chef Danny Brown came out and chatted with us for a while about the neighborhood and the restaurant. I got the shiitake omelette and boyfriend got the French toast - both were PERFECT and the prices were totally reasonable. We each got an entree and a side of bacon for under $20/person after tip. Will definitely be back, and soon! This will be my first suggestion for a neighborhood spot when people visit or come uptown.
