Charc Bar | Charcuterie Reviews
Just discovered this amazing little wine bar / charcuterie on east 84th between 1st and 2nd Avenue. It has a downtown vibe that is sorely needed in this alternately stuffy and sports bar neighborhood. Happy hour runs until 7:30 pm with $7 wines and 3$ beer!
I mean, you can't go wrong with meat and cheese in my book. An intimate spot with pretty solid eats and a nice wine list. The foie gras was beautifully silky and flavorful, the Bonne Bouche was delicious but a painfully small portion, and the serrano ham was perfect. Also tried the spaghetti and Frenchie sandwich which were pretty good. If I were to go back, would stick with wine, bread, cheese and meat and maybe pass on the larger plates. A nice addition to the neighborhood!
Farbulous food. Nice ambiance. My husband and I ate at the bar, talking with the bartender, Eddy Hot fois gras was so tasty, duck breat and black bass were excellent. Will definitely come back. Recommend to make a reservation.
