Comal Reviews
Quite possibly the best softserve in NYC, and I eat a lot of icecream. Went just for the icecream tonight, and even though the restaurant was full, they were able to accommodate us. (Thank you Ren for your hospitality!) Once again, it didn’t disappoint.
The best food, wine and service! Everything is delicious and the roomis beautiful and the service is especially gracious and lovely!
Everything was absolutely incredible, authentic, rich in flavor. Cocktails were perfect! The chicken was honestly one of the best i’ve had in new york for sure.

Comal is a beautiful restaurant where guests come for the interior design and stay for an incredible meal. The furnishings are lovely and make the space feel like a cozy living room. The food is phenomenal, with clean, precise flavors and fresh, vibrant protein and vegetables. The artichoke tostada is incredible and surprisingly filling. The branzino is a memorable take, brought out with tortillas and fixings to make fish tacos. The skirt steak is a favorite, and the cabbage salad is tasty. The dessert is the best part, with a rich, dark mousse-like chocolate cake and high quality vanilla soft serve. The restaurant also hosts culinary collaborations, such as one with Klin from London, showcasing a blend of Mexican cuisine and Northern Thai flavors. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive, creating a feeling of care. The extensive wine list is appreciated. Some guests suggest a bigger selection of cocktails and note that the restaurant could work on timing for reservations, as towards the end of dinner, guests were told they had 10 minutes to wrap up. Comal is recommended for date night or a large group.
