Wow!
Cove is true to its name.
A little way from Washington Square Park, you walk down a quiet side street and step into a quiet, refined shelter. The kitchen staff behind the reception dais move with practiced ease, which is always a fun show.
You'll be welcomed to large wooden tables that may not be redwood, but recall northern California.
The waiters are incredibly attentive and preempted what we wanted throughout the night.

I had an amazing birthday dinner at Cove. The food was excellent, especially the soup and lobster dishes. My only complaint was the table we were given. I had made it clear that we were celebrating my birthday, but we were seated directly in front of the bathroom, with the door open most of the time, which was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the service was very nice and we had a wonderful evening.
