Kossar's Bagels & Bialys is a favourite bagel place in the neighborhood. The quality of the food is great, with tons of cream cheese options. The restaurant has a few tables that are quite small. It gets BUSY quickly, so finding a spot in rush hours isn't always easy. The line sometimes wraps around the corner, but service is very fast, quick, and polite. The bagels are definitely fresh. A toasted everything bagel with lox/creamcheese spread was very delicious, with a voluminous filling. The Scallion cream cheese is elite, and the everything seasoning is elite. The BEC was thankfully not dry and rubbery. A pumpernickel and olive cream cheese bagel is an excellent spot for lunch, and a black & white cookie is recommended. The setting can be quiet with a homey cafe feeling from pictures on the wall. Staff is super nice and friendly. This place has another location on UWS.
