LÀ LÁ Bakeshop NYC is a great Asian bakery. The staff are friendly. The durian cake has pandan with real chunks of durian and is NOT TOO SWEET. The coconut pandan mini cake, tiramisu, coconut pandan sticky rice, and seasonal tangerine jasmine tea are all good. For savory pastries, the garlic cream bun and the sausage scallion bun are both so good and massive. The salted egg croissant is rich and perfectly balanced with sweet and savory flavor, a must-try. Some salted egg yolk pastries can be a bit too egg-y, and the salted egg filling in the croissant and salted egg lava bun could be more flavorful. The crème brûlée lava bun was not really a cup of tea. For price, it is a great place to try Asian flavored desserts.
