About La Masseria NY

La Masseria NY is a classic Italian restaurant known for its exceptional service and delicious cuisine. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including fresh burrata with tomatoes and peppers, shrimp ravioli specials, and a selection of pasta entrees and seafood specials, all made with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant features sophisticated and attractive decor, creating a cozy and elegant ambiance that is perfect for both personal and business dinners. With cocktails, outdoor seating, and a variety of pasta dishes like the short rib pasta, it caters to many tastes. The attentive and wonderful staff, including the server Omar, makes every dining experience special. Bread baskets come with a small dish of lentils, and the bread sticks are delicious. The restaurant serves the same menu for both lunch and dinner and remains open late, with guests dining even at 10 p.m. The food, including the salmon with mustard sauce, Chicken Paesano, veal scallopini, and the agnolotti, is simply delicious. Desserts like the apple tart and almond cake with vanilla ice cream add to the experience. The prices are more than fair, making it a great option for an after-theater go-to, especially for those attending shows at the nearby Walter Kerr Theatre.

We were given time to look at both menus: their regular as well as Restaurant Week menu. We opted for the regular menu and were not disappointed. We started with Prosciutto and melon which was light and refreshing. Our entrees were the tagalini with short rib Ragu and Spaghetti Bolognese. Both were very fresh and served hot. Dessert was the chocolate and almond...read full review
