I’m a dog trainer who travels from neighborhood to neighborhood in NYC, dog sitting and training in-home, and this is by FAR my favorite community coffee shop. The staff are always attentive and friendly, and the owners make you feel as welcome as you might feel in a small town. Their French bulldog welcomes canine and human guests warmly, when the weather is nice and she feels like running the shop. Oh, and the coffee and pastries are heads above the rest. The mocha almond croissant is so unique and has a ton of mocha chocolate filling. I didn't taste any almond in the filling but the croissant was still delicious. I actually went on 2 different days and they were quite different. One was much larger than the other and had more almonds on top. The 2nd was coated in what I'm assuming was powdered sugar.
