Yum yum the crispy duck was so tender inside
Had a great time at this Vietnamese spot! Funnily the most memorable was the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was thick and hit the right spot. The other dishes were just as expected in all the good ways.
Wow, the best Bo La Lot I have had (even better than in Vietnam, Cali and Houston), and the Lau Mam is so delicious, remind me of my hometown. Wow, and all other dishes and sauces are on point. Perfect meal.

Based on the reviews, Mộc Mạc serves delish authentic Viet food in NYC. The flavors are fresh, balanced, and very comforting. Dishes like the betel leaf, bun cha, and steamed rice cakes are amazing. The betel wagyu app is a standout, with a decent portion and a refreshing, slightly spicy sauce. The vermicelli is thin and fragrant. However, the golden noodles with turmeric fell short due to overcooked shrimp and flavor fatigue. Other menu items like the pork jowl have a nice grill flavor but could use more salt. The passionfruit salad and Hanoi classic are not bad, while the corn and rice cakes were just ok. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, though it can be noisy. Service is great; servers are nice and handle big families well, efficiently switching out finished plates. It is a place people come back to regularly. Go before it blows up.
