I don’t really like the attitude of some of the staff members at this location. The UWS location, though, has the best staff.
My wife and I took two bagels take away for a picnic in Central Park - they were amazing! Shoutout to the place being completely gluten free, making it super safe for celiacs.
The reviews are trippin, this place is the BEST! Even if you’re not gluten free, you’ll love everything here. One of my favorite bagels in the neighborhood and all the sweets are phenomenal. This place should have 5 stars

Modern Bread and Bagel has divine and delicious gluten free bagels, cakes, and breads. The gluten free bagels are great and as close to the chewiness of a regular bagel as possible. The Parmesan bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese is a highlight. The establishment does gluten free breads and basic baked goods really well. However, other items need to be tweaked. The pizza and other baked goods were barely edible and inedible. The pizza has a funky taste and the cheese tasted really funky, not at all like mozzarella. The flavor profile is not good and the toppings end up overpowering the crust. The texture of other baked goods is off. The location has no place to sit and eat or to wait for pickup without being in the way. The line inside is a fire hazard and makes customers antsy and uncomfortable.
