Omakase Room by Shin Reviews
Came here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. They offer a solid selection of fish sourced from Japan and other countries, resulting in fresh, high-quality sushi.
You can tell the team is striving for top-notch quality. My only suggestion would be to put a bit more emphasis on the presentation—slightly more artistic plating would make each piece even more memorable and photogenic.

Easily one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! The place is simple and elegant, the chef is very welcoming and hospitable and above all, the food was out of this world!
Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences of my life.
Omakase by Shin completely exceeded every expectation. Every single course was flawless—beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. You can truly feel the passion, precision, and craftsmanship that Chef Shin puts into every piece of sushi. It wasn’t just dinner; it was an unforgettable experience.

Omakase Room by Shin offers one of the best omakase experiences in NYC. The food is incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with great texture and balance. Must try their Uni, the smoothest sea urchin hand roll. Pieces are good sizes and just amazing. The atmosphere is calm and intimate, with a beautiful interior and a cool vibe like being in the overturned hull of a boat. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Chef Shin is the top omakase chef in NY, personable and engaging. The experience is refined and relaxing, with even the plating and tableware beautifully curated. Slightly hidden across from Grand Boucherie inside the 6 1/2 walkway, closer to 54th street. Now three seatings at 5, 7, and 9pm. Highly recommended.
