Osakana East Village Reviews
Quality of the fishes and variety are great.
No seatings so I brought my Sashimi box to the park after a short wait. ( coffee from next door )
My go-to spot for high quality sushi and sashimi in the city!
id say for the quality of sushi and in comparison to other sushi around the same price point, the price is fair. they use yuzu kosho, which I have not seen many places use, and which really elevates the flavor. the pieces are also sizable!

Osakana East Village is a small fish market located in the East Village, offering a variety of fresh fish options such as sashimi, sushi, and rice boxes. The fish is of high quality, with the uni being particularly noteworthy. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and portions are generous. Although the restaurant is take-out only, its proximity to a park makes it a great choice for a picnic.
The Sushi Deluxe, featuring large pieces of salmon and scallop, is a popular item on the menu. Osakana East Village also offers the Hokkaido Bento Deluxe, though some reviewers feel it may not offer the same value as the Sushi Deluxe. The fish market sells sushi-grade fish, which reviewers have praised for its exceptional quality.
Customers have noted that the service can be a bit chaotic, with staff sometimes having trouble finding or providing the correct order. However, the sushi rice is cooked just right, and the toppings on the sushi pieces are tasty. The sashimi is not always cut to a nice texture, and some pieces may be rather fishy. Overall, Osakana East Village delivers fresh sushi and sashimi for takeout, providing a satisfying experience comparable to higher-priced omakase spots.
