A real gem.I am very picky when it comes to Italian food having grown up in an Italian family. You would think New York City is full of great Italian restaurants. I have discovered that is not the case, until I ate at Paola’s restaurant.Paola’s delivers an authentic and delicious meal with a unique menu and accessible wine list.I also loved the simple but all home made deserts.Definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in all of New York.
Vegetarians, go to this restaurant and order the Ligurian hand made pasta with potatoes, green beans, pesto cream sauce and pine nuts. Sounds unusual but it is so delicious! You wont regret it! Also a small rather romantic restaurant for couples.Vegetarian options: The hand rolled pasta with potatoes and green beans with pesto cream sauce is the best. There may gave been one other vegetarian option but I'm sure they could use any pasta with any sauce and it would be delicious.
