First time in NYC so we just picked a steak place. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like royalty! The food? Well, everything we ordered was mouth-watering! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted even better. The crab cake, broccoli and Mac and cheese were one of the best we have tasted. (I am very picky) the portions were plentiful. I didn't even have room for dessert (which is ALWAYS my favorite part of the meal) You will not be disappointed!
Nice dinner. Pleasant atmosphere compared to other super noisy restaurants. 2 remarks on things that were a little disappointing: 1) the waiter advised us against ordering our steaks rare and that it would be cold in the middle. For this kind of money, I would expect the chef to know his stuff. We still asked for rare and it turned out perfect!
2) the check included a 20% gratuity (very discreet although it was just a party of 2 and I didn't see mention of that on the menu)....read full review
Damn this place is good!!! Yet another hidden gem ... Old school vibe! We are early before 5pm in order to make a evening musical. We were the only ones there, and we were spoiled! Steaks are just as good as other name branded restaurants (PL). Our NY strips came out sliced, sizzling in butter! My mother's salmon was seared on the inside and ever so flaky in the middle! And service ... top Notch! Highly recommended if your in midtown!
