Excellent French dip sandwich!!!!
5 stars delicious, but still prefer Hillstone's extraordinary French dip as #1. I prefer less garlic seasoning, Hillstone's seasoning is mainly that of a fresh buttered toasted roll. Salt Hank's meat was overdone, no pink like at Hillstone, missed the horseradish dipping sauce at Hillstone, vs slathered on. I don't want it every bite. I use it for the 2nd half. Also I always get it with the kale salad with cashew dressing which used to be on menu combo but now upon request swap...read full review
Salt Hanks has benefitted from food influencer hype, so we wanted to try for ourselves. While not cheap, the signature sandwich was a winner. We waited in line in the rain, so it needed to be good. The service was friendly. The shop itself is busy and cramped, but that made it kinda fun. Overall, we were happy with Salt Hank's and would return.

Salt Hanks’ offers a French dip that many say is a comfort sandwich. The bread crackles, the beef is rich, tender, and full of flavor, and the au jus is hot, salty, and perfect for dipping. The horseradish cream adds a bright pop, and the onions bring a sweet touch. The sandwich is sizeable, enough to share, and pairs well with the thin, peppered shoestring fries, which are even thinner than typical fries. Though some feel the sandwich is too salty and not worth $30 or $32, others find it delicious and worth the wait, with a friendly team and a cozy vibe. The line can be long, but many believe the French dip lives up to the hype and is worth every minute spent waiting.
