Sanwits Reviews
Lechon sandwich went crazy.
Get the lechon dip. The ribeye is good but gave everyone the poops. The only person that got the pork was ok.
I was really impressed on my first visit. I got the ribeye caldereta, and it was great. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium, the caldereta sauce was flavorful, and the creamy, cheese-like sauce added a nice richness to the sandwich.
Unfortunately, my second visit was a different story. I ordered the same sandwich, but the ribeye was extremely overcooked. It was dry, stringy, and honestly pretty unpleasant to eat. The creamy cheese-like sauce was also missing this time.

Sanwits is a cozy, well-designed restaurant that offers a variety of Filipino-inspired sandwiches with bold flavors and generous portions. The menu features popular items like the Ribeye Caldereta, Lechon Dip, and Chicken Bagoong sandwiches. The Ribeye Caldereta has received mixed reviews: it can be perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful with a creamy, cheese-like sauce, but there are times when the ribeye is overcooked, dry, and less enjoyable. The Lechon Dip sandwich is often praised for its rich, well-seasoned lechon with thick chunks of pork, complemented by pineapple slaw that adds a sweet and tart contrast. The Lechon Dip's flavorful sauce enhances the experience, although it can be messy to eat. The BEC sandwich has received more modest praise, with some finding it just okay compared to the other flavorful options. The fries with salt and vinegar seasoning are a favorite, and the Mac & Cheese is also highly recommended. The restaurant offers plastic gloves due to the messiness of the sandwiches and sauces. The place has limited seating, but customers have managed to squeeze in. Visitors appreciate the authentic Filipino taste, the craveability of the sandwiches, and the friendly, efficient service. The menu also includes items like the chicken bagoong and iced ube matcha latte, which are well-loved. Overall, Sanwits is a promising spot for Filipino-inspired sandwiches, with some inconsistency but plenty of flavor and character.
