Thomas served us at the Rockefeller location while we were in NY for a day trip. We were surprised to discover that the best bartender I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by was a bar back! He was kind, knowledgeable in all the bourbon they carried, made killer drinks, and even suggested activities to add to our itinerary. Someone give this man a promotion!

Truly adorable find, on Xmas day! They squeezed us in with no reservations! The food was well crafted. The atmosphere is 1940s Manhattan- even the bathroom is retro. Planning on going back for Valentines Day- this time with reservations for the table but none for the quality of the experience!

Smith & Mills is an oasis in the city, located on the lower level beside the Rockefeller skating rink. The atmosphere is 1940s Manhattan, and even the bathroom is retro. The food is well crafted and fantastic, with dishes like Schnitzel, Tagliatelle, and divine cheesecake. The Battan gin martini with sidecar is fantastic, and the cocktails are killer. The service is great, with attentive staff who make the experience enjoyable. The prices are in line for the location. It is a hidden gem and an all time favorite spot, aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable. Be sure to use the lav—it is unique.
