The Cafe at Cornell Tech Reviews
I dont come here for the food or service, I come here for the serenity and break from NYC that only Roosevelt Island can provide. This is a good spot to have a lunch or coffee, freshen up in the bathroom and then spend a nice day on the hill reading a book surrounded by the bliss of silence.
By taking the Roosevelt Island Tramway, you get a beautiful view of East Chanel, then have lunch or a snack at the university's self-service restaurant, then stroll to the memorial park where Roosevelt had a hospital built for smallpox patients. The U restaurant is magnificent, clean, you finally eat green vegetables. The toilets are perfect. You have a great time with a breathtaking Manhattan lifestyle. With the UN building.

We were lucky enough to speak with the manager of the establishment and she was really lovely. In short, if you go and need to recharge your batteries...read full review
