Based on the reviews, The Throwback is a special place to gather in NYC and a great new addition to the neighborhood. This family owned and operated sports bar has lots of TVs, a good vibe, and a pinball arcade downstairs with sports memorabilia. The atmosphere is energetic, welcoming, and spotless, with a fun but comfortable vibe. The staff treats customers like valued guests, and the service is top-notch, genuinely warm, and super friendly. The owners are genuine, warm people who clearly take pride in what they’ve built.
The food is great. The breakfast burrito is life changing, and the shisito peppers and tropical frozen drinks are excellent. The Steak & Eggs is outstanding, with perfectly cooked steak and crispy fries. Chef Santos makes an incredible hollandaise sauce. There is also a really cool event space downstairs. The Throwback is a true melting pot of locals, from couples with babies to singles of all ages. It is a bright spot that offers excellent hospitality and great energy.
