Had a wonderful dinner at Tradisyon during our NY visit.. saved us a trip to Queens. We ordered sisig and kare-kare decent portion. 3 people shared with some left overs. Rice order portion is big too. Food was good, love the atmosphere very nostalgic! Special shout out to Paulo, Robbie and Mark for the warm welcome! Come out and try them if you happen to be in NYC!
Love the Filipino comfort food. It is well prepared and tastes sooo good!
Menu
Tradisyon is a cozy Filipino restaurant in NYC that serves authentic and delicious meals. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience, allowing guests to eat with their hands in a traditional Filipino style. The menu features flavorful dishes such as Kare Kare, crispy pasta, crispy pata, sisig, and a version of Bangus that is fresher and less vinegary. The food is known to be fresh, delicious, and beautifully balanced with sweet and savory flavors. Customers have enjoyed dishes like kare-kare, chicken adobo, and ginitaang with bokchoy, often complimenting the garlic fried rice. The staff is friendly and attentive, making guests feel at home, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Although it is a small place, visiting during off-peak hours is recommended. For convenience, there is a bathroom nearby in another shop. As a special gesture, the restaurant sometimes provides free servings of white rice to go. Overall, Tradisyon is a must-try spot for those seeking authentic Filipino flavors and a welcoming dining experience.
