“White maize has the best venezuelan food i’ve ever tasted !! Arepas are full of protein and food, Delicious !! the flavors will melt into your mouth. service is great and the waiters are very polite, i definitely recommend coming here !! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“This place has really good food. The portions are small, however, and the prices are simply too large for the size of the arepas. Cheaper arepas are available in Brooklyn. Of course, the rent is cheaper in Brooklyn too. Again, the arepas themselves are great, they’re just a bit pricey.“
“I just got empanadas today! Two cheese one chicken and WOW they are the best I have ever had. $14 for 3 of them a little expensive but totally worth it! I'm going back tomorrow. Personally I like sprinkling a little sugar on them, they also give you two sauces that are so delicious. The workers there were also SO SWEET AND KIND. 10/10“
“Patacon is venezuelan food. If you like to eat sweet plantains, this is the place. It's one of those fast food truck place-order to go only. I had a "yoyo" a choice of chicken, beef, or pork. I had the chicken. Basically it looks like a gyro instead of getting the pita bread, you get sweat plantains with lettuce and tomatoes. It was very tasty. You should look at their website for more details.“
“I was craving cachapas and a friend recommended this place. Food was great, we ordered tequeños, cachapa and I forgot the name of the other plate, but it had fried yucca, meat and fried cheese. It was delicious. Service was a 10/10 they were amazing and we talked a bit about everything while waiting. Place was tiny, I honestly recommend doing take out, as most people do. We were the only ones there, but it was still quite small with 3 bistro tables with not so comfy stools. Great place though!Wheelchair accessibility: No“
“I have been getting this for years , food is amazing, staff is friendly and welcoming, you can always order a head saves you lots of wait time. They are organized and have a great system. I now travel from upper westchester down to NY to grab some great food from here.Parking: Hard to find a spot near the street, but can go around to find a spot.“
“I was lucky enough to stumble upon this gem earlier this week. I’ve had many arepas before, but never stuffed.. My husband and I tried 2 different types (I cannot remember which ones exactly but two of them had plantains in them…YUM). Each one was delicious! And so filling. The ones we tried all had chicken as we aren’t big red meat eaters, but these were sooo good that I just may have to try the skirt steak next time! The man that took my order and prepared our food was so pleasant, I regret not getting his name but trust me, I will be back! ? 10/10! Highly recommend if you enjoy good food!“
“Cannot wait to go back!I had a pabellón arepa, a chicken empanada, a beef empanada and a passion fruit juice. The pabellón arepa was too good! I don’t really eat arepas (I’m a bad Venezuelan, oops) but I couldn’t resist because pabellón is my favorite. The shredded beef in this arepa was great, it wasn’t tough to eat and it was full of flavor. The empanada, which was actually a pastelito is made in the oven. I told the owner, Esteban, that they are pastelitos, not empanadas, he told me it’s easier for non-hispanics to have an idea of what the item on the menu is if described as an empanada which made sense to me.The chicken in the pastelito is shredded, these pastelitos are pretty darn tasty!I wasn’t a huge fan of the beef one but it was alright too. I’m definitely looking forward to more chicken “empanadas” haha. The passion fruit juice is always a fave for me because it reminds me of back home. Very refreshingI really enjoyed this little restaurant. They recently celebrated their first anniversary, I wish them many more ☺️The owner is super friendly, so Venezuelan. There is limited seating, only about 3 stools and a table by the window, which I guess is fun for people watching :pI love that they show some of their menu items on their Instagram, I hope they add more photos and videos. It’s always helpful for people who are trying food from another country for the first time to see photos.Oh! There is also a lady who makes custom cakes and cookies here, Sweethaze cakes but I did not try any of them. Very pretty cakes, you can check them out on InstagramVegetarian options: There is a vegan arepa on the menu.“
