Was passing through chinatown and look through the window and saw some glistening roast pork (cha siew) hanging on the window hooks. I've never tried this restaurant before, because I have my usual spots for roast pork elsewhere. So I decided to get a pound of roast pork for around $10 a lb. Pricy indeed, but well worth it. Make sure to ask for "half fat cha siew" because you'll have the best balance of meat to fat ratio. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor of the cha siew....read full review

It's ok for general Cantonese food, but there are plenty of other options around in the neighborhood. Service is standard for Chinatown and prices are ok (but not incredible). In short: standard, solid offering but nothing amazing.

Oh Yee Li, I never gave you a chance, which disappoints me as a born and raised ABC in Chinatown, now that you're gone... Your little corner on Elizabeth was somehow always very reassuring and comforting, with the no frills old school stylings on the window (one image featured a suckling pig with cherry tomatoes stuck in its eyes). Wish the new iteration luck!
