“Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was delightful busy, but we were able to get a table without a wait. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Service was just a tad slow, but it was rather busy, and the staff did a great job working together and keeping everything moving. The Cornbread French Toast was wonderful, will definitely order that again the next time I'm in town.

The iced mocha latte was served in very cute glassware, and was refreshing on a humid summer morning.

“We've been coming to the reading room since it opened. We are big fans of the coffee bar especially the hot lattes. We had one yesterday that was delicious, creamy, smooth and had divine chocolate notes. Cup sizing is great too (small = 2 shots, medium = 3 shots, large = 4 shots). They do coffee right in a way that most coffee shops do not!! Staff are always welcoming and kind. Wonderful seating on front porch. Book selection is also great and they will order any book for you! They are the best :)“

After my recent move to New Hampshire, my fiancé is just as dedicated as I am to the amazing food, atmosphere and staff and we took a trip down on our motorcycle to enjoy yet another fantastic lunch. “I was looking for a place to have breakfast and the GPS was telling me to go back on my route, when I found this restaurant. It's inside a building, in the basement, and what I liked most was the vibe of the place. Simple with a sandwich on the impeccable bagel, not to mention the excellent service they provided to us. “Stopped during a quick visit in Katonah. Wife fell in love with their Sweet Cream Cold Brew and I thought their Latte was noteworthy. Had seating available both inside and outside, though it was a little messy. Will definitely stop back again.“

“The kitchen is small, but the flavors are big at the Playhouse Cafe. It’s unbelievable what they are capable of creating — this is not your typical movie theater cafe. Great cocktails, a full coffee shop (my favorite place to work on the weekends while the kids catch a movie), the charcuterie board is fabulous, the muffaletta is my favorite sandwich. My kids love the tater tots and chicken fingers. Don’t miss the churro bites for dessert! Best of all — you never need a movie ticket to eat in the cafe, but if you are seeing a movie — you can bring your food/drinks into the theater. Sure beats regular popcorn!Also, trivia nights and live music are so fun — not to be missed!

Especially accommodating to a bunch of runners coming in just to use their restroom. Very glad this was suggested to me.“
