“loved the Pistachio cake from Luigi’s in Carmel so much that I ordered one for my mother’s 96th birthday. I was in Florida and couldn’t partake but my sister picked it up in Carmel and my mom, sister and family were able to enjoy it. There were 7 people at dinner and due to the size and height of the cake, you can see they barely made a dent (however it was completely gone within 2 days). Everyone was absolutely crazy about it and everyone sent me pictures and called to thank me. It’s a shame to even call it a cake because you naturally think of something you buy in a bakery. This is a whole different world. This cake is exquisite. The flavor is outstanding, it is extremely moist, it has a ton of filling and frosting but not that sickeningly sweet kind – this is all top notch ingredients and completely unique. I felt awful because I know I didn’t give Luigi’s much notice and I know his wife worked 14 hours the previous day baking. But I didn’t feel so guilty that it stopped me from ordering it and they were so gracious about helping me. As you can see in the pictures, the attention to detail, the edible flowers, the beauty of the cake made it a birthday present in and of itself. I just cannot thank Luigi and his awesome wife enough for helping to make my mom’s 96th birthday special.“

From the warm welcome to the impeccable service, cozy atmosphere, and spotless dining area, every detail was perfect. The food was beyond exceptional - the best Middle Eastern cuisine we’ve ever had. We started with the baked lamb and rice grape leaves (handmade daily and truly exquisite) and the stuffed cabbage, both bursting with flavor. A side of French fries with garlic whip was a fun indulgence. For our main courses, the lamb chops and lamb kabobs were cooked to perfection, delivering incredible taste in every bite. To top it off, we ended with Turkish coffee and homemade baklava, the perfect finish before our drive back to Boston. If we lived in Connecticut, we’d be here every week! Hanna’s is a must-visit, and we highly recommend it.“

“A breath of fresh air! I frequented this restaurant as a child and still remember getting glass coke bottles and eating a slice of pizza with my mom. I thought I would pop in and see if it bared the same resemblance or if it was all different. To my surprise it was the same lovely place I had visited 20 years ago as a kid when I would walk up Lake ave after school. They said they just hit 30 years and it's the same owners. So many places in CT treat you like you're a burden when you walk in. I walked in not knowing if we would have lunch there because it's a smaller restaurant and I have two kids. I expected to get some sort of attitude or confused look from the staff but right away I was greeted and the woman up front was eager to help me. I explained my situation and she right away asked her family who were having a meeting at the table if they could move to the back so that my family could come have dinner. She set up two tables for us and the whole staff was friendly and patient with my wild boys. My boys began fighting over an apple juice and one gentleman was kind enough to give me another on the house. The gentleman making the pizza was kind and courteous. You really don't find places like this anymore.. everyone is in a rush, they just want to get paid and get you out, but not this place. It's a traditional family style restaurant. I left feeling so happy with finally not feeling like it was an inconvenience to serve me as I often find now'er days when we're out spending money. They were happy to have us and if we are in the area again we will go back! Thank you guys so much! <3“

“The best, my favorite, pizza joint on Mill Plain Rd, on the Westside, in Danbury! The crust is thin, has that slight crunch, folds easily to cradle the abundance of toppings. Oh, and the meat lover's version, wow! Full-size toppings (hubby & son raved about it)....and my fave, the veggie...spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, garlic, peppers, onions -LOADED & DELICIOUS! But, you cannot go wrong with a plain cheese either... Not greasy, perfect balance of cheese to sauce. My dad's favorite pizza spot, too... and no loss of memory makes him forget how to get there!“

“The best Sicilian in Putnam County. Crunchy bottom, soft and tasty inside. My husband and I get a whole pie, it’s the best fresh out of the oven, we eat two or three slices in the restaurant and take home the rest, freeze for lunches. Bring a devoted Sicilian slice customer I ventured out to a salad, not any salad, their Asian salad. Cold crisp romaine lettuce, crispy chow mein noodles, sliced almonds and mandarin oranges, and the best Asian dressing. Really a very enjoyable salad. A great place for good food and great staff.“

“Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was delightful busy, but we were able to get a table without a wait. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Service was just a tad slow, but it was rather busy, and the staff did a great job working together and keeping everything moving. The Cornbread French Toast was wonderful, will definitely order that again the next time I'm in town.

The iced mocha latte was served in very cute glassware, and was refreshing on a humid summer morning.

Most are very good. Some are excellent! A couple have been a little odd. I have met and known all three brothers. The one thing I can always count on, always consistent - their food is incredible!!! Every single time! If it weren't so good I wouldn't keep coming back! And, introducing new people to their fare! Love you guys!“

“Mezzaluna restaurant is a great place to visit. I live in South Carolina and when my wife and I travel to NY we always visit Mezzaluna several times a week. The food and service is always excellent as is our usual waiter, Nick. He is great at his job, very friendly, observant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. “Ordered through DoorDash. The food came quickly and hot as well as correct. We ordered the hibachi noodles, shrimp and vegetable tempura, beef negimaki and sweet potato rolls. The beef negimaki and sweet potato rolls were very good. The hibachi noodles were a bit gummy but ok tasting and the tempura lacked favor. All in all they were good portions and reasonably priced. Would definitely order from here again.“
