“My mother has been going through cancer treatments for months. Most days she can’t even leave the house from exhaustion . She went to the grocery store this morning and when she left she was so exhausted she decided to go to McDonald’s for a hamburger and sit there for a while before heading home. When she got to the front door she saw people leaving saying the inside is closed only the drive through is opened. She of course went to make sure this was true. As she opened the door the cashier said sorry only the drive thru is opened but she looked up and saw my mom ( you can tell by looking at my mom she is sick) and said “oh honey, come in what would you like?’ My mom said just a hamburger and a small French fries. She told my mom to go sit down she would bring it to her and said that it was on the house. My mom thanked her but said she would pay. The cashier said absolutely not. . Your meal is on us today. She said , now you go sit and I’ll bring it out. They even came over and cleaned up her mess when she was done. My mom said they treated her like a queen. Thank you so much McDonald’s in Oakdale NY for doing this.“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. “Super cute retro diner themed. Enter from the back parking lot of main street (Behind of Meatball Place). I got the Crusha burger and wow. The bourbon bacon jam was fantastic paired with Truffle Parm fries was an explosion of flavor. This is on the repeat list.“

“Came to N.Y. for visit, from Texas & Georgia, but originally from here. My brother & I were staying across the street at the Raddison hotel. We walked in, were greeted immediately, with a pleasant hello! Seated right away! Our server, Valerie, greeted us with her sweet personality. She was very kind and courteous, and had great customer service! I have a nut allergy, I brought to her attention. She made sure to thoroughly check with the cook, to be sure the new menu item, I was ordering, did not contain any nuts! I ordered the Bayou Shrimp bowl, which was delicious I might add, with this amazing side sauce for the shrimp, that I couldn’t get enough of! Valerie immediately let me know that it was safe to consume which I greatly appreciated. My brother had the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, which was also delicious! The manager, Carol, also stopped by our table, to be sure all was going well, very pleasant. I was in the service industry, waitressing/bartending, for many years, so when I go into an establishment, and I get excellent customer service and delicious food, I love to brag about it! I’m quite critical how I’m being served, and Valerie, Did Not disappoint! She was exceptional. She deserves more than 5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

This is my go to place for lunch during the work week because they are very health conscience and reasonably priced. I particularly like ordering online where I can add or delete any of the ingredients to my liking. They have a huge selection of food so there is something for everyone. They have a Breakfast and Lunch menu that includes Omelets and platters of all kinds for breakfast, burgers, salads, wraps, paninis, soups, quesadillas, regular & fish tacos and vegetarian wraps and much more. You can even eat your lunch on an outside patio area. 10 out of 10.“

“Went there for the first time. We made reservations and were promptly seated by friendly and polite staff. In spite of being quite crowded and busy, i was surprised it was noticeably quieter than other places we frequent. An enjoyable experience with a wide range of food and prices for every budget. Definitely will add to our “ go to” list. Highly recommend reservations as it is quite popular.“

“Went in today with one of my girlfriends and we had such a great experience I had to write about it. From the second we walked in we were greeted by a gentleman who was very kind. Our waitress Amanda was top notch as well!! All our requests were right and she anticipated all our needs. She also brought us out more waters without having to ask which doesn’t happen often when dining out. The food came out in less than 10 minutes and we didn’t feel rushed at all. “Ive always love checkers since I was a kid and this location has always been a favor for people around here. There's a large outdoor sitting area. That's nice for lunch during the summer. Every time I go here, no matter what time of day the staff is always extremely friendly and put out the food quick too. You also have to try the fries !“
