“My mother has been going through cancer treatments for months. Most days she can’t even leave the house from exhaustion . She went to the grocery store this morning and when she left she was so exhausted she decided to go to McDonald’s for a hamburger and sit there for a while before heading home. When she got to the front door she saw people leaving saying the inside is closed only the drive through is opened. She of course went to make sure this was true. As she opened the door the cashier said sorry only the drive thru is opened but she looked up and saw my mom ( you can tell by looking at my mom she is sick) and said “oh honey, come in what would you like?’ My mom said just a hamburger and a small French fries. She told my mom to go sit down she would bring it to her and said that it was on the house. My mom thanked her but said she would pay. The cashier said absolutely not. . Your meal is on us today. She said , now you go sit and I’ll bring it out. They even came over and cleaned up her mess when she was done. My mom said they treated her like a queen. Thank you so much McDonald’s in Oakdale NY for doing this.“

The sauces were perfectly balanced, the mac & cheese was incredible, and the burger tacos were absolutely amazing. Prices were very reasonable for the quality, the owner was extremely welcoming and attentive, and the staff were all super friendly. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re around Stony Brook.“

“I’d like to say and point out a server/bartender that works here at this Applebee’s in Brentwood. Each and every time I come here this employee consistently gives me and other customers I’ve seen dine here some of the best service and attitude imaginable. I don’t know what his secret is, but I love coming through those doors and seeing that his big built body is on the clock. Every other server/bartender I’ve had has been great, but then here comes Diego taking it to another level.

Especially the positive attitude that I see him giving his coworkers as well. Lord forgive me, but I would love to be working with this man because it’s one thing to be kind and respectful to your customers, but another to be that same way with your coworkers. Especially with the two hostesses that I usually see when I come in on the weekends, the curly-haired boy with the glasses and the nice girl with the curly hair. They’re always so welcoming, and Diego fits right in with them.

Nothing but professional, nothing but friendly that man is. I hope he gets recognized for the way he treats his customers and the people working around him. Shout out to everybody else in this Applebee’s for their immaculate service, INCLUDING DIEGO, because that man deserves his flowers too.“

“Honestly this place blew me and my partners mind. We just got a Mac n cheese burger, the cheese burger nachos, cheese fries, wings and a milk shake. Everything was cooked to perfection and was crisp and fresh. We chose this place because of the gluten free options and was so surprised that the fries had their own fryer. The service was promt and attentive and knowledgeable. We must have come at a good time because the vibes were perfect. Wished we lived closer to visit more often.“

If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

This is my go to place for lunch during the work week because they are very health conscience and reasonably priced. I particularly like ordering online where I can add or delete any of the ingredients to my liking. They have a huge selection of food so there is something for everyone. They have a Breakfast and Lunch menu that includes Omelets and platters of all kinds for breakfast, burgers, salads, wraps, paninis, soups, quesadillas, regular & fish tacos and vegetarian wraps and much more. You can even eat your lunch on an outside patio area. 10 out of 10.“

I've gotten salads from the Pop salad section and i just tried a quesadilla with steak (omg soooo good, the steak is soft and juicy and seasoned just right). the salad is always fresh and tasty and the portions are big!! My quesadilla meal was about 13.50 without the drink but i have leftovers and I always have half a salad left so it's like 2 meals for 10-15 dollars...so worth it. “Ive always love checkers since I was a kid and this location has always been a favor for people around here. There's a large outdoor sitting area. That's nice for lunch during the summer. Every time I go here, no matter what time of day the staff is always extremely friendly and put out the food quick too. You also have to try the fries !“
