“Truly a hidden gem!! This authentic Korean restaurant beats out popular spots in the city. We were greeted warmly upon entry and immediately served tea and a wide assortment of banchan (the tiny side dishes). We started with Pajeon (seafood & green onion pancake) and honestly I’ve had this in countless places and it was the best Pajeon I have ever had- not soggy at all, and the seafood was tender and not annoyingly chewy. Also had the Japchae (excellent), Combo #1 (LA Galbi Short Rib and and soft tofu stew) and a summer special of chilled buckwheat noodles. The portions were generous and the wait staff really were attentive and so helpful. The place has a homey feel like you’re at your favorite auntie’s house. 10/10, no notes, this will be in my heavy rotation.“

“This the 2nd time I was here and they do not disappoint. The 1st pic was the pork soup, the 2nd pic which is fron my 1st visit was the wonton soup which is my favorite. “I walked into this place without much research, just saw a high star rating and proximity from where I was at that time. I thought they offer traditional Japanese style ramen. If that’s what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. The staff, service, and overall vibe were great. I ordered the Classic ramen and it was nothing like the ramen I am used to. Although it was eatable, but too oily and black peppery, it was just a different kind of noodle soup dish. I have tried various styles of ramen in Japan so I can say safely that this is definitely “inspired” by them but not a traditional Japanese ramen.
I see many enjoyed their style so it seems to meet their tastes. Just not my bowl of ramen. That’s all. Again, super friendly staff. No hard feelings.“

“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.“

“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“This is insane how big the burritos are! Holy cow! They were very good too. Had no idea what to expect. This was our first meal in NY and it did not disappoint! Only downside was the burrito fell apart and no silverware was included so it was a mess. But that was it. Otherwise it was a slam dunk. Loved it. -Some fat southern folk.“

“We a party of 3 adults 2 young children go from brooklyn to long island just to go to PFchang. I will say the ride going i wasn't the happiest person however, We walk in greeted and seated quickly. The waiter young man so pleasant so attentive. He had recommendations,filled with great energy,very helpful and you can tell he's genuinely kind. The food was so good those ribs I cant say enough about them! Lets just say I was eating and dancing in my seat . the customers themselves were beautiful people .
