“I can’t tell which is better, the food or service. We came in around noon on a Saturday. While it looked packed they were able to seat us the bar within 2-3 minutes of coming in, coffees served quick and the food was out in no more than 10 minutes. The vegan options are plentiful and soooo good. I had vegan salmon benedict and the missus had the vegan penny benny. It was my first time and the vegan salmon is damn good here.“

“This could be the best breakfast spot on the UWS if you want to have the perfect price-quality balance. The guy working there is also super nice and kind.
Definitely recommend! Please note that it’s a cash only restaurant.“

“Came in on a Tuesday morning and was treated to a delicious breakfast. The eggs benedict were fantastic and the challah french toast was outstanding. What really made Little Purity stand out was the stupendous family staff - warm, friendly, kind, and funny too! Had very enjoyable conversation with our servers, and you can tell that they put care into all of their interactions. My partner left her hat inside, and he ran out after us to return it! During that time someone on the street called out to him and our server knew him by name - this further goes to show that these people truly care about their customers and their neighborhood. Loved supporting these folks, highly recommend!“

“I really wish I could give a five star because the sandwich I received was amazing. I’m giving four stars because the atmosphere of the entire place needs to match everything. The worker at the register was honestly just rude and had a very standoffish attitude. It almost made me want to cancel my order and walk out the store. Please do better and be more welcoming because the food is amazing and it throws everything off. This was at 3:40pm today.“

“Best Breakfast & Brunch Spot in NYC — Period. When you factor in price, flavor, and quality. There’s simply no other spot that beats it.
What makes this place unique is that it’s not your typical all-American brunch, which for me can sometimes be on the bland side. Here, you’re getting a true Dominican-American breakfast and brunch experience — sazon, flavor, and soul in every bite. If you enjoy savoring your food, this is a match made in heaven.
Their mangú is smooth, creamy, and comforting — not the stiff, heavy version you often get elsewhere. I ordered the tres golpe and my girlfriend had the dos golpe with pechurrinas (Dominican chicken tenders). The chicken was crisp to perfection, seasoned beautifully, and mixing it with the mangú is next-level. To finish, I ordered a papaya milkshake that was amazing — rich, refreshing, and the perfect balance.
The flavor here is what sets them apart. If you’re Latino, or if you just love food with seasoning and depth, this is the spot. Too many brunch places in the city are bland — here, every bite has sabor.
On top of that, the service is excellent. Our server Jeanette was attentive, funny, and welcoming — exactly the kind of energy you want when you’re hungry.
And let’s talk about price. In 2025, when everything feels overpriced, this spot is a blessing. Most dishes are $5–$10, nothing over $25, and the quality is unmatched even compared to restaurants charging triple. You get your money’s worth every time.
The only downside is they’re not open for dinner — but for breakfast and brunch, Cafeteria Brooklyn is unbeatable. If you want food that’s flavorful, affordable, and satisfying, this is where you need to be. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I come here when I need work done on my car, since my mechanic is a few blocks away , unfortunately it has been too often. Coming to Breakhouse puts some good vibes Into the trip. I get here early, I love their breakfast selections. The coffee is good but cappuccino is even better. They have a very clean and comfortable bathroom. If I lived closer, I'd be here very often. It's one of my favorite restaurants, pleasant people and cozy.“

“I recently visited a local IHOP, and while it's a franchise, this specific location truly sets itself apart. We arrived on a Sunday evening around 7 PM, a party of 16 people with no reservation and several kids in tow. I was amazed at how they were able to accommodate us so quickly and seamlessly—a true testament to their great service.
I ordered the steak tips, and they were absolutely perfect—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. My friend, however, ordered the T-bone steak and was a bit disappointed, finding it not up to the same standard. Still, with such a large group, a minor inconsistency is understandable.
The service, overall, was fantastic. Our server was attentive and handled our large, boisterous group with ease and a great attitude. There were no complaints whatsoever about the service.“

“I had a spinach pie (spanakopita) and Greek salad here and it was very good tasting and satisfying. It's good to know if you find yourself in the South Bronx (should you dare to roam these streets) that there's decent food here. I went here twice since I had something business related to do down here. The atmosphere of the diner is the major area that needs improvement but is pleasant. Sometimes a dark, old looking, low intensity environment is good though, especially if you're feeling down as I often am.“

“Cozy little place, owner/all staff members are kind and friendly. Best clam chowder and sandwiches, not only breakfast menus. Amazing grilled chicken that’s seasoned and cooked perfectly every time. Price is too cheap for the quality of food and drinks!!“

“I have had hundreds of breakfast sandwiches all throughout the city and the Breakfast Burrito from Uri’s is without a doubt the best. Perfect flavor and texture combination, manages to hold up if you aren’t eating it for a bit (doesn’t get watery). Plus the people who work there are super friendly. An absolute staple of the UES“
“I was very impressed with this space. I have to be honest I normally don't think of event spaces on my regular day to day but if you need a space that can be used to hold an event- well this may be the place for you. Here is why: Staff - 10 (they were great and very friendly and accommodating to our needs) Security - 10 (professional and approachable and friendly) Space - 8 (great for the baby shower I attended and big enough for anything you could possibly want to do) Parking - 3 (only downside. Folks it's Ridgewood so you already know. But hey get there early and bring walking shoes and you will be fine) to wrap things up this space simply works. Then when you add professional and accommodating people you can't lose. I'll be back in my best terminator voice.“

“Best chopped cheese in Greenpoint! Their grilled chicken sadnwich is also delicious. I have other closer bodegas near me, but I will walk the distance to get a sandwich from here! They also have an extensive vegan menu, maybe the most I've seen! Friendly service and decent prices too.“

“This location is in a residential area with free street parking. The corner location is cozy with about 10 indoor two person tables & 3 outdoor tables. For parties over four you may want to call ahead. Our wait time was 40 mins on a Sunday at noon. After 1:30pm the crowd thinned out before the late lunch. The menu has shareable breakfast charcuterie as well as smaller single servings with a list of add-ons. They have a drink selection of a large variety of flavored mimosas and light cocktails. They even have a mocktails menu and can adjust both menus to suit the opposite preference. I had French toast and my companion ordered the steak. The plates are just enough to continue the day without being hungry or overly full. The dishes were both delicious.“
“The shakes are delicious and have their own flavor to them that makes me think of food I had as a kid. While also giving me tons of energy to spare even though I'm already energetic. But it helps with my gym workouts that I've started. Also the people are kind and social. So its never boring. They help with advice on whatever goal your going for and what they'd recommend if you don't know how to start.“

“time flies—meant to post this in February, it’s now November. better late than never.
Village Cafe & Grill is a small takeout spot (no seats no tables) for orders and pickup. it’s a small grill/deli sport filled grab-n-go snacks and soft drinks…the eatery serves a large breakfast and lunch menu of hot or cold sandwiches, burritos, pastas, wings, fries, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, and so much more.
stopped here on a cold February late afternoon and needed a coffee, the folks here brewed a fresh pot even though it was close to closing. really appreciated the staff here going the extra mile just for a solo customer and a cup of coffee. the coffee was solidly good and warmed me up.
definitely worth a stop by if you are looking for takeout food in the East Village area.“

“You cannot find a better salad in this neighborhood, the vegetables are so fresh and when you order over the phone they will make sure to not add the dressing until it’s picked up so that it doesn’t get soggy. This attention to detail is what makes this place gourmet, you’ll have a hard time finding another deli serving salads like this place anywhere nearby.“

“Why didn’t I find this IHOP location sooner? I’ve always been skeptical about breakfast franchises - especially IHOP. I mean, how good can breakfast really be? But this location completely changed my mind.
The service was outstanding, and the food genuinely impressed me. The servers were warm and welcoming. Their signature pancakes were perfectly fluffy and paired beautifully with the butter and syrup. The omelette was huge, and the price was very reasonable. Even the coffee was great - smooth, not burnt, and they leave the whole pot at your table for easy refills.
I honestly don’t think I’ll be going to local diners anymore. IHOP has won me over for breakfast!
* One small caveat: I wouldn’t recommend the hash brown. It was quite dry and tasted like it had been cooked from frozen.“
“I was in midtown Manhattan to see a live TV show, Gutfeld. I had some time before lining up outside the TV channel's building, so I stopped in for a quick lunch at this place. It is, apparently, open 24 hours, which is interesting given it's location right smack in the middle of midtown. I ordered some hot items from the hot bar, which is extensive. I chose the eggplant parmesan with rice. The food was good. This restaurant does not look to be the most hygienically pleasing, but, on the other hand, it was not expensive and the offerings I chose were tasty. The service was OK. One other note is that when I asked for regular water, they handed me an empty cup which I had to fill from a tap, they did not have any of those water filtration systems you see at many other restaurants, kind of a cheap touch.“

“This review is for the wonderful employee, Qandeel.
I visited this place on the night before Labor Day. Even though it was late on a Sunday night before a holiday the place was bustling with delivery orders and dine-in customers.
Despite the busy atmosphere Qandeel was incredibly helpful and patiently answered all my questions, even encouraging me to ask as many as I needed.
She never showed any signs of frustration and efficiently handled her other tasks as well.
I was so impressed by her exceptional service that I asked for her name so I could write a review.
I've lived in this neighborhood for a while but only came here about once a year.
After this experience I've decided to visit more often.“

“This IHOP is better than the one on Ralph Avenue. It's bigger, it has more seating, the staff is friendlier, and they actually have different flavored syrups, which is the main reason I even go lol.
The food was good, will definitely be back.“
“Wanting to take my daughter for a special treat whilst in New York for a few days we booked afternoon tea in the Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel after knocking back the Plaza after reading a few dodgy reviews. So pleased we did as we spent over 2 hours enjoying every moment. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the warm scones. It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection. Lovely small intimate setting too where we felt our custom was welcome rather than feeling just a number as we were one of just 3 tables there. Would we return? Absolutely!“
