“Gita needs to be more aware what she’s making there was a piece of bacon near my croissant egg and cheese while it was being toasted and she continued to leave it in there when making other orders. I don’t eat pork it’s against my religion and now I have a sandwich that touched it… you would think they would keep an eye for stuff like that cause Bengalis are Muslim too. Her coworker which was very nice had to explain the order 3 times cause she wasn’t processing how to light toast a sandwich.. the star rating is for the other representative running the register but for Gita I would have left zero stars“

“The Donut Pub has been in NYC since the 1960s, and the donuts taste like they have never compromised on quality for the last sixty years. These are literally the freshest-tasting donuts I’ve had in NYC: they melt in your mouth. I stuck with a few different flavors of mini donuts so that I could enjoy multiple flavors at the same time. That said, they have tons of creatively flavored donuts, croissant donuts and cake donuts. It will be a tough decision, especially if you like a variety of fillings and frostings. Also very cute old school diner vibes—would be a great place to catch up with a friend.“

“I go to New York City once year: My co-workers and I take a group of theater students, we see 8 broadways shows, I get a *carrot cake donut* at the Doughnut Plant in Grand Central Station, and I’m a happy girl for one more year. I always have a good experience! I get my favorite, and then something new. Everything I’ve ever tried there has been phenomenal. (This time is was a coffee cake doughnut - it was inspired! SO good!) If Doughnut Plant moved its location to the moon, I’d probably just start taking my theater students there instead, just so I could get my yearly taste test at Doughnut Plant.“

“As most places in NYC, we stumbled upon this bakery. Once your eyes see it, I challenge you to not go into it. It’s a very colorful place and the person who served us was incredibly patient and friendly (I kept coming back to add to my order). The coffee was very, very good, my cortado was perfect.
We got a couple of pastries for the following day and the croissant (I’m French) was very good even after a day. It was filled with pistachio cream and the size was just right, the cream very nutty and not overly sweet and sickly. Shame we live so far away because I’d make it a regular.“

“I was there this morning and the girl working was awesome. We waited a little but that was fine. Donuts are always the best. Truly worth it. Sometimes small businesses struggle with staffing and it was evident they had a call out or something today with the holidays. Still love this place!!“

“Cashier was nice, he explained to us everything we needed to know & was very patient with us while we browsed the menu. Donuts are made to order & come out nice & warm. The donuts themselves were light & fluffy, very tasty without tasting too sugary.“

“An oasis of doughnut on Flatbush. My daughter loved the chocolate covered strawberry shortcake with Chantilly cream. The Brooklyn Blackout doughnut is always fantastic - a sweet nod (no pun intended!) to the cake New Yorkers know and love for decades. And the red velvet & white was so good, I couldn't resist a bite before snapping the pic!
They do sell out of popular doughnuts by mid-afternoon, so if your heart is set on a particular doughnut, go early.“

“The place was lively and jumping. I waited like 2 minutes but the warm greeting made it feel like 45 seconds. My server was so comfortable In her own skin and had patience for days. Honestly I think I love her Naw jk but she was amazing and I immediately thought my flat white was FUBAR because it came in a standard size cup but nope she did the unthinkable! She went where no barista has ever been before...she managed perfectly balanced microfoam in a larger cup thus preserving as much flat white sensibility as possible not withstanding. Yeah she was great two thumbs up! Honestly you guys should just like make her the official customer relations trainer. Because I don't know about everyday but today she understood the assignment! “It’s like buying a donut at the Apple Store but way more fun and way less complicated.
Had wonderful and friendly service about the options and staff favorites. Went with the pistachio glazed yeast donut that was exactly the right choice. Delicious, light, and just enough sweet to round it out.
Will be back for more!“

“While I thought the shelf appeal was great, I’ve learned not to be fooled by good-looking baked goods alone. Fortunately, Miolin’s taste as great as they look!
I’ve tried their strawberry croissant, chocolate croissant, double-baked almond croissant, and kouign-amann. I was a bit skeptical about the 'double-baked' concept, but I took my maiden voyage into that world with Miolin, and it was delicious!“

“This burger spot is a hidden gem on Northern Boulevard. VERY affordable burger (smash burger and chicken sandwich were $5) and the quality is top notch - great quality beef and well-seasoned chicken. The man who owns it was extremely courteous and respectful, which made this hole-in-the-wall experience exceptional. I'd 110% recommend going here!“

“If you are looking for the perfect Brooklyn brunch, look no further. The food at 7th Ave Diner is consistently incredible, but what really makes this place special is the service—specifically Luisa. She is a absolute rockstar! She’s attentive, warm, and makes sure you’re taken care of from the moment you sit down.
The Highlights:
• The Omelet: Perfectly fluffy, generous with the fillings, and not greasy at all. It’s exactly what a diner omelet should be.
• Eggs Benedict: The poached eggs were spot on, and the hollandaise was rich and velvety.
• The Pancakes: Do not skip these. They are massive, airy and golden-brown crisp on the edges.
Between the delicious comfort food and Luisa’s amazing hospitality, this has easily become my go-to spot. I’ll be back every week.“

“Literally a time machine to old school Brooklyn that I grew up with! Shaikh's is conveniently located by the Avenue U station on the Q (Brighton Line) and the B3 bus. All of their donuts are homemade and you could snag a dozen donuts of your choice, including the 13th one for $11.75 (early 2026). These are your traditional donuts, not too sweet or plain, just right! Also, this is a cash only shoppe, so make sure to bring cash and share some delightfulness with your friends & family!“

“I ordered my wedding cake from this lovely place. It was a delicious experience to say the least. The staff is friendly and the pastry wizard is just that. I gave her a picture that I wish I could up load and not only did she replicate the exact design but the cake itself literally melted on our mouths. It was so light and fluffy my "husband" couldn't wait a year to eat the top. If you live anywhere in Brooklyn and have need of a baker this place is worth the drive. Trust you won't be disappointed💃🏿“

“I got their strawberry and mango croffle delivered and it was delicious! They weren't too sweet and the cream was really light, which paired well with the croffle itself. I loved the strawberry one as there was strawberry jam and the strawberries themselves were really sweet. The mango one was alright as the mangos were a bit bitter. Overall, a cute dessert spot and I would love to try their other menu items!“

“If you’re ever in the Bronx and you don’t stop at Gino’s Pastry Shop, you’re missing out on a piece of real New York history. This Arthur Avenue staple has been serving up authentic Italian pastries for decades, and it’s exactly what you want from an old-school bakery — no frills, just flavor and tradition. The cannoli? Legendary. They fill them fresh to order, and the shells are crisp, flaky perfection with creamy ricotta that tastes like it was whipped up by someone’s Nonna in the back. The sfogliatelle and lobster tails are equally iconic — sweet, buttery, and loaded with filling. Don’t sleep on the rainbow cookies either — they’re dense, almondy, and always spot-on. The shop itself is cozy, with that classic Italian-American charm. Gino and the crew treat you like family, whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth. Prices are super fair for the quality, and it’s cash-only — so come prepared. Bottom line: Gino’s isn’t just a pastry shop, it’s a Bronx institution. Worth the trip, worth the calories, and worth every bite.“

“this place is a lovely grab and go type of spot (along with the 2 restaurants it shares the building with, machi machi for drinks and jongro rice hot dog for corndogs — both very good too). you pay for however many donuts at the kiosk and then tell the employee which one you want. super quick process. the donuts were a bit hard, im assuming they were made earlier and then just kept stored to be handed out. if they stayed in a warmer or something they’d have stayed soft. not a problem for me since i went home and heated them up a bit, but it does mean you dont get the best experience you can from just a visit. that being said, i think the mochi donuts here are ever so slightly cheaper than other places, which is nice. when looking online for flavors, i found there were a few missing, so my pictures should have all of the flavors as of october 2025 (im assuming halloween pumpkin is a seasonal one!!)
overall def recommend this place :) esp to grab a corn dog and/or drink too all in one go“

“Mochi Dolci is one of my favorite places in the UWS. It's a family-owned business that TRULY CARES about the people that walk in for food, drinks, and hanging out. I love many of their #mochidonuts - classics like black sesame and taro but I love their playful ones such as fruity pebbles. Other dishes are good to such as their pork belly bao, mango salad, and dumplings. Of course, their #milktea and #bobatea are delicious. I recently tried their matcha milk tea with strawberry popping boba. Their place is cozy and welcoming. They have a speakeasy too - I have not been, but they were kind to let me explore it (with their permission). I look forward to come back for drinks and food with friends! Easily 5 stars and ABOVE! 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩“

“Got the original glazed and tried the cinnamon roll. Never had krispy kreme before and it's ok, didn't blow me away with all the hype I've heard about them. The original glazed was good and the cinnamon roll tasted like a honey bun, would say it could used more cinnamon filling.
Tried the Cookie Biscoff flavor, was pretty good flavor and good mix of textures.“
