Aqueduct is what it is - winter thoroughbred racing in New York. It's never going to be Belmont or Saratoga. But - especially for the Derby prep weekend races in March and April - there is a good time to be had here. The third floor restaurant, Equestris is especially nice. If you use the owner's entrance on the south side of the building (same side as the big horse and jockey mural) and take the elevator straight to the third floor you won't experience anything unsightly or unpleasant....read full review

The 70's ambiance abounds at Aqueduct. The food (and service) at Equestris was subpar; not worth the $65 buffet fee....but you can enter the Equestris and watch the horses, place bets, have a drink or 2.....it's what a day at the races used to be, just good fun!
