“The Farmhouse is a great family run establishment. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Ice cream and shakes are great and restaurant is clean and decorated beautifully. Come for the Clam Bake in the summer and the cider donuts in the fall.”

“I was surprised to see just one employee working late afternoon on a Friday, especially with the fall menu having just come out. Having worked in customer service myself I could see how overwhelmed she was having to deal with so many customers alone, but she handled the numerous people so calmly and efficiently. Ava was an excellent barista :)”

“SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein and lemon chicken. The fried dumplings were perfect and the sauce was on point. The shrimp lo mein was fresh and the lo mein and chicken were also excellent.

“loved the Pistachio cake from Luigi’s in Carmel so much that I ordered one for my mother’s 96th birthday. I was in Florida and couldn’t partake but my sister picked it up in Carmel and my mom, sister and family were able to enjoy it. There were 7 people at dinner and due to the size and height of the cake, you can see they barely made a dent (however it was completely gone within 2 days). Everyone was absolutely crazy about it and everyone sent me pictures and called to thank me. It’s a shame to even call it a cake because you naturally think of something you buy in a bakery. This is a whole different world. This cake is exquisite. The flavor is outstanding, it is extremely moist, it has a ton of filling and frosting but not that sickeningly sweet kind – this is all top notch ingredients and completely unique. I felt awful because I know I didn’t give Luigi’s much notice and I know his wife worked 14 hours the previous day baking. But I didn’t feel so guilty that it stopped me from ordering it and they were so gracious about helping me. As you can see in the pictures, the attention to detail, the edible flowers, the beauty of the cake made it a birthday present in and of itself. I just cannot thank Luigi and his awesome wife enough for helping to make my mom’s 96th birthday special.”

Our only wish was for the full omakase experience, where the chef serves each piece at the bar. Instead, we sat at a table and were served all at once—perhaps a special request is needed. Not fully sure- we didn’t really asked.

From the warm welcome to the impeccable service, cozy atmosphere, and spotless dining area, every detail was perfect. The food was beyond exceptional - the best Middle Eastern cuisine we’ve ever had. We started with the baked lamb and rice grape leaves (handmade daily and truly exquisite) and the stuffed cabbage, both bursting with flavor. A side of French fries with garlic whip was a fun indulgence. For our main courses, the lamb chops and lamb kabobs were cooked to perfection, delivering incredible taste in every bite. To top it off, we ended with Turkish coffee and homemade baklava, the perfect finish before our drive back to Boston. If we lived in Connecticut, we’d be here every week!
