Rice & peas + the stewed cabbage were also cooked well and tasty. Large portion will easily feed two people for a reasonable price. The older gentleman was lovely and provided great customer service. “It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!“

“I’m afraid to be too honest about how much I loved my first visit to The Tasty Table for fear that the more of us who share the less chance I’ll get a table…but…it’s great!! I can hardly wait to return! Sunday brunch is fantastic! Busy and absolutely worth the wait! I had their delicious shakshuka and an early grey tea while my friend had the hamburger and a cappuccino. We both loved it!!! We ate outside which was lovely, but inside is even more lovely! The design is farmhouse chic meets French patisserie…a great combo!!! And…the staff was kind and generous!! I really look forward to going back!!“
