“Amazing, delicious, huge portions, great prices, friendly staff , fast , attentive , friendly service. This is by far our favorite place for breakfast! Their biscuits and gravy is def one of our favorites! We actually order one to share for the table like an appetizer as the portion is so large and they are so delicious. It’s all so good we can’t decide. You absolutely are eating twice off these portions. I can eat three times off a fretta! They have homemade breads and pies that are also amazing. Thank you Maryann and all your staff for doing what you do and being so warm and welcoming!”

“So my friend and I went to enjoy a lovely lunch on Seneca River and we had the pleasure of having a young gentlemen, named Mathew as our waiter. He had an exceptionally friendly disposition, great knowledge of restaurant selections, very attentive to our needs and fabulous conversation skills! We thoroughly enjoyed having him as our Bridge Street Brat person and hope to stop in again to a community service that should be a shining example for other villages to follow! “Li’s was my first Chinese food experience as a kid. Whenever I am visiting home, this is where I come when I want some! The prices are great and the food is fantastic. I always get plain lo mein, crab Rangoon, pork dumplings, and general tso. You get SO much. Bring cash!”

“I’ve been a loyal customer of Independent for several years, ordering for both parties and the occasional pizza night. I’ve tried many other places in the area, but nothing compares. The team consistently goes above and beyond, especially when I call to pre-order before opening hours, they always make it work. The pizza is, without a doubt, some of the best in the area. Prices are fair and reasonable, unlike many other places, and the staff and delivery drivers are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend them and will continue to be a regular customer.”

“We had lunch here today and everything was amazing! Our Dad asked about Sloppy Joes and the server pointed out that they didn’t have them on the menu but suggested the brisket grilled cheese. Before our food arrived the serve came out with a specially made sloppy Joe for our Dad. He ate the whole thing and said it was delicious! I had the brisket grilled cheese and that was very yummy! For the chef to make a custom dish was so unexpected and very much appreciated. It was nice to see Dad happy and have a full belly!!!! We will be back for sure!”

“This was my first time ordering here & I am amazed by how nice the young man was that delivered our dinner. I’m not big on pizza - (I did take a bite of the kids & actually liked it) I ordered an antipasto with onions for myself and it was bigger and better than expected. Joe called to let me know that he forgot the onions ( I didn’t even realize 😂 it was so so good) & refunded the $1. We found our new favorite pizza place & can not wait to try the wings!!!!”

“Dined here last evening. The warm brie appetizer was very good and a nice change from ordinary appetizers. The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. For dessert I had the chocolate torte which came with raspberry sauce. The combination of the chocolate and raspberry....yum! The staff were all nice, friendly, and informative. “Was invited for the Syracuse Duke basketball game. But before had a wonderful dinner at Joey’s Restaurant. Noticed Big Mama’s Cheesecakes, hm, interesting/catchy name. Make note this is one dessert that so many make, so many claim to have so called mastered etc it is extremely difficult to master. From my 33 years of experience & being a 3 star chef from Manhattan & serving the biggest names in any form of entertainment I have to express that in this crazy culinary business this cheesecake was well beyond anything I have ever tasted. Magnificent isn’t even enough to say. There is a famous restaurant in France named Les Papilles. Exceptional in bakery especially cheesecake. The cheesecake here in Syracuse is right there with Les Papilles. This is a complete lottery win for this area of the country. I’ve been around the globe and have visited many culinary gems, this is in my top 20. Absolutely brilliant”

“Highly recommended!! After happily agreeing to whip up a custom birthday cake on short notice (2 days), I asked if I could add on a custom cookie cake. Kathy & her staff were able to make that happen as well! The cake was their PB Explosion, but with a sunflower theme for the birthday girl. Not only was the cake gorgeous, it was delicious, too! The cookie cake looked great, and got the nod of approval from the birthday boy. I didn't try that one myself.. I was too busy downing the pb explosion! Thank you so much, Kathy & crew! We were all amazed by the cakes, and can't wait to come back to try your ice cream and other treats!”

“We had reservations on valentines night our first time there .. it was very clean and spacious we expected a busy night being valentines and a Saturday evening but was very disappointed that we waited over an hour just sitting in our reserved booth with glasses of water .. we ordered the all u can eat crab legs which they asked if we were having that when I made the reservation two weeks prior … we witnessed 3 other tables that got up and left in disgust that were waiting at their tables before us with no food … no bread no salads no apps not even drinks from the bar which we did order … this was a HUGE disappointment especially for some who had their Valentines Dinner ruined …. When or crab legs did come out over hour later (they were good) still had to wait forever for our sides that came with dinner … very unorganized which was so confusing to us they had empty tables and enough wait staff running around …. Our waitress Mya was very apologetic and good at her job and did try to please us by offering us a drink on her and gave us a discount on our bill …. I’m willing to give this place another shot I’m looking forward to enjoy their outside dining… I really hope it’s a better experience next time because it really does look like a great restaurant”
