Love this place! Great small-town landmark: good ice cream, lots of flavors, hard ice cream and soft ice cream, fun stuff fir kids. We come here whenever we're visiting family in Elmira.
If you're ever Elmira-adjacent, make sure you give Fair Shake a fair shake. I'll see myself out. In all seriousness, the Fair Shake is a hidden gem. You'd have to know it was there, sitting in plain sight, otherwise you'd drive right by and miss out. The Fair Shake is worth the trip, especially if you're closer to Pine City than Elmira proper. After a very disappointing trip to another ice cream shop we stopped at Fair Shake. I felt bad as there was 11 minutes to closing and I wanted something special. The lady helping us went above and beyond. With a quick "I got you" she made the BEST Sunday I have ever had.
