“Maria’s Sans Rival cake lives up to the meaning of its name, undoubtedly unrivaled. It was made of sheets of chewy meringue loaded with crunchy cashew nuts, alternating with thick layers of “melt-in-your mouth” buttercream. Glad it was not too sweet that I was able to enjoy large servings of this delightful dessert. Great with coffee or tea.“

It’s called Sweet Lil Sweets, a small, family-owned bakery and honestly? It blew me away.

I tried the banana pudding it is comparable to magnolia bakery but better !!
creamy, smooth, real bananas, balanced to perfection. As a chef, I appreciate when something simple is done right.

The tres leches cake? Moist, rich, but still light. That kind of texture doesn’t happen by accident it takes care.

I wasn’t even planning on ordering the white hot chocolate, my boo did but yo... one sip and I was hooked. Silky, not too sweet just comforting.

The iced coffee? Strong like Zeus fresh, no bitterness. Very solid it woke me up to reality

And they even let me sample their signature cheesecake cupcake bites it was banging Creamy little flavor bombs. You already know I wanted more. And that's coming from someone who doesn't really like cake like that

Listen, this spot has heart. You can taste it in every bite. As a chef, I know how much goes into this kind of quality and they’re doing it without the spotlight.

The cake was beautiful (Cookie Monster cake on the right) , exactly as I described and delicious. We went with red velvet - cake was MOIST and cream cheese frosting was perfect. Filomena even accommodated my last minute request for cake colors. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future.“

“I stumbled across this bakery after having a birthday dinner at Mas Tortilla a few blocks away. It was a great find.

I ordered a cappuccino, 2 Grand Opening cupcakes, and a box of macarons for my bf and I to share and it was all sooo good.

The cupcakes had a passionfruit icing/paste that I could tell was made with real passionfruit on the inside and the cake was the perfect texture and moisture level. As good as the cupcakes were though, the real star of the show was the macarons. They were out of this world. We tried one of every flavor and I was not let down. My favorites were the fruity pebbles and the earl grey.

We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area!“

“Sweet (no pun intended) little bakery in Kew Gardens. The shop is not big and the selection is not huge but what they have is very good. I took home two Guava Puffs which were very good. The Crust was sweet and grumbly and it was bursting with Guava. I also took home something I had never tried or seen elsewhere. It's called French Nut. This one was filled with Apricot. Mom and I split it and it was enough to fill us up due to its richness. It was ?. The prices are very reasonable. The lady working there was very helpful and pleasant.“

(There goes my diet) I ran across Layers from Uber Eats and googled the store to read the reviews which were great but I saw some bad reviews about the cakes being stale and not fresh. “The cannolis here are INCREDIBLE... 10/10!!! The cookies are pretty good, too, as they are not overly sweet and go perfectly with coffee or tea. However, their mini cakes are not the best, which is why I'm docking a star. I ordered a mini tiramisu which was dry and seemed to have a frosting layer rather than a creamy mascarpone, which was disappointing. Overall, awesome bakery! I would just say to avoid the mini cakes.“

“This bakery used to have another location in downtown flushing. I tried their cake before and liked it. So it decided to order a custom cake and cupcake from them.

The owner/baker was very easy to communicate with via text. She explained all the details to me, even suggested to go light on the color of the cake, too much food coloring is not good for children. This is something I have not thought of as a mother ! And I appreciate her reminding me of this !!

On the day of the pick up, I was a bit worry about how the cake would turn out. The cake turned out great !! and it tastes great too !! Several of our guests at the party ask for the bakery and they want to order cakes for their own birthday !!

“My sister surprised us with Patty’s Pops for our engagement party in February 2020 so when we got married in August 2021 we had to have these treats for our guests. All the desserts were beautiful and delicious and elevated our wedding to the next level.“

“They have a very generous portion of what we ordered of eggs and potatoes. Sometimes the place is packed. The area is quite small. Take out is better. And if it's not peak hours, dining in is okay too. Peak hours, don't expect to get a seat. Bagels and coffee are good.

Vegetarian options: They have a good selection for bagels and they serve toast and eggs and some vegetables.

Parking: Not a lot but people come and go and there's a good chance to get a spot.“
