“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“We had a fiftieth birthday party here for two twin brothers. The patio out back is beautiful. The food was great and the waitstaff is wonderful. This is practically its own institution in Floral Park.“

“Second time dining. Excellent service. The food is over the top. We shared the Chef's Special eggplant appetizer and it is simply outstanding! The pita is so fresh! For dinner I had the special that night which was an authentic Kabab and there was no leftovers. We also try their varieties of rice which is is delicious and we have jasmine rice nightly. Finally their baklava is the best we have ever tested. This dining establishment is indeed special.“

“Amazing experience!! I go here RELIGIOUSLY, no other restaurant compares. I’ve tried other places but always come back to Taza. Their food is fresh, delicious and have a variety of options, not to mention with the best price. All the workers are super nice and are VERY generous with their servings, especially for the bowl. They truly care about their customers happiness. They closed for a few days for renovations and I swear I was having withdrawals. But 10/10, I HIGHLY recommend this place.

“Originally we were walking to get pizza but we were reminded of this place along the way. Decided to go and try it instead of pizza. I’m glad we made the last minute decision to do it. I had a wrap with the lemon chicken, rice and a number of unlimited toppings, additions which was very good! Both of my kids and my wife had bowls and agreed that this was the right call. “from minute we arrived the hostess was very rude and unaccommodating (we made a reservation days in advance) put 5 people at a table for 2 our server could not speak English and constantly kept disappearing for exorbitant length of time took us hours to get a drink.... Midway through our meal they made us switch tables literally while we were eating to accommodate another party ...that being said however the food was delicious and the DJ was great but the service was horrible automatically added a $50 gratuity which totally did not deserve and overcharged us for alcohol and dessert“

“My family and I went to Veranda restaurant in Bayside yesterday for. Birthday dinner. The restaurant is well located, with street parking and valet service as well. There’s an outdoor patio, that for obvious reason we couldn’t use. The temperatures in NY have been in the single digits lately. The food and the service were on another level! Gregory was very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was finger liking good! I had the pan seared scallops with spinach risotto and OMG. I can’t wait to go back. Everyone was pleased with the their food choices and I highly recommend this place, unfortunately I didn’t take pics of everyone’s food. Only if mine, I hope you find this review useful. “We went to this restaurant on Sunday evening without having very high expectations, but the mixed kebab was absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly and provided excellent service. We later ordered a dessert that I had never tried before — it had a very unique texture and was filled with cheese.
