“Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

“This Wingstop always comes through! The wings are super flavorful and cooked just right crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The Lemon Pepper and Mango Habanero are my favorites, and the fries with their signature seasoning are addictive. The ranch is honestly the best I’ve ever had. Staff is friendly, service is quick, and everything’s always fresh. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I’m craving wings.“

“The double cheese burger is great. Tastes like a classic burger cooked perfectly at a bbq. Seasoned great and perfectly juicy when you bite into it and you can ask for white cheese if that’s what you prefer. Their Mac and cheese is actually very good. Most people mess up Mac and cheese but I finally have a spot close by that has something acceptable. So many smash burger spots that this place is a breath of fresh bbq air because they have the fat premium patties.“

“My friend goes here frequently so recently I went to check out the hype. They did not disappoint! The prices are reasonable, the portions are perfect, and the food is heavenly. I can’t get enough of this place and have been 3x in the past two weeks. The workers are nice and the service fast despite it just being two workers. Time doesn’t exist in this place, because I get lost in the food every time. I would personally recommend ordering the set meal with honey-soy sauce, seasoned fries, a large brown sugar milk tea, and an add-on of the Mr Chicken hot dog. The inside may be small, but it’s big enough to become my new home. If you want good food and a good time then come down, if not then move along knowing you’re missing out.“

“I frequent the Wendy's that's across the street and saw this spot. I finally decided to try it today and it was pretty decent. The nashville hot chicken sandwich had a nice crunch, juicy, tasty and the sauce wasn't too overpowering. The fried chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection. The french fries were kinda mid though. Fries definitely needed some seasoning. Definitely skip the lamb over rice. It lacked flavor and the lamb tasted a bit on the soggy side. Definitely come here for the chicken. I'll try the pizza next time and will rate another review in the near future.“

They didn’t have happy hour options so every margarita was $15 dollars. Every set of wings was $15 dollars etc, but they were good. It felt like a small neighborhood bar/secret hideaway. But it is a weekday. They have big screen TV’s for the game. Quiet tables for quiet conversation and board games in the window if you’re feeling nostalgic. But overall The Huntress is a good hidey hole/secret spot if you just want a No judgement zone, power down after a long day type of place.“
