“Probably the best airport food I’ve ever had. We ordered the BBQ Burger, Essex Burger and hot dogs and they were phenomenal. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxing after a stressful missed connecting flight. Highly recommend.“

The wait was long but the good thing about it the food was cooked to order and fresh . Was worth the wait . Only big take away I can think of is parking which is not there fault .“

“Been coming here for many years and is always great. Don’t go anywhere where else for fried shrimp and steamed salmon. They have all the seasonings and all the butter you want. If you are trying to be healthy this is a great place with many choices, just stay be careful with the butte . Price is also great for the portion size you get.“

One of my favorite things is the view and atmosphere. See trains pass and cars pass by while enjoying your time here.

I met the owners and found them to be very hospitable and I felt welcomed although I had never been there before.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for about 4 years and I can’t believe it took me this long to try this place.

“I always get the turkey wings, collard greens and macaroni & cheese. Everything was very tasty as usual and nice portion. My mom had the bbq chicken and the pieces were small and she said it was not tender but had a lot of sauce. I will order again.“

“I strictly go here for shrimp and mash! fried or natural, either type are delicious but my fav is the natural’s. I also get a side of tostones with the garlic sauce 🤤 It’s a small spot & could get loud and crowded at times but the food is well worth it, but to go plates are more so the way to go, it’s a good spot you get served fast it’s open 24hrs.“

“We had my daughter’s 30th birthday party here and it was absolutely amazing!!! Our hostess Liberty was absolutely incredible!!! She made everything go so smooth and easy!!! I can’t say enough!!! This is a beautiful spot!!! The atmosphere is absolutely magical and has the most incredible view of the Manhattan skyline!!! The food and drinks were so delicious!!! This is a 10 out of 5!!! “I was visiting Brooklyn and needed food, I looked up fish on yelp. It was like ennie mennie minnie moe. I chose Soul of the Sea after I viewed the menu. I called first to see if they are open because a lot of businesses closed due to COVID-19. Someone answered immediately and did in fact confirm that they were open. I informed them that I was coming but. When I arrived I announced that I called and placed my order. The person that took my order was very kind, friendly, and courteous. His customer service was fantastic. I ordered the fish sandwich and asked what kind of fish was on the sandwich, he directed me to the menu and said, whiting, do you see it under section of fish sandwich. I did conquer. He told me the price and asked if that price was fine. I said yes and then ordered a carrot cake. His attitude compelled me to buy something as I was eager to support a mom and pop style restaurant. I told the person taking my order that I was passing through and needed to eat. He thanked me for stopping in. The interaction was wonderfully pleasant, the store clean and the staff was attentive. The person that came to the front of the business to sweep, greeted me and thanked me for stopping in. This is an A class, 5 star service restaurant when it comes to serving the customer. Enough about the interaction and now the food. The sandwich was proportioned with a decent amount that was not too filling. I'm used to pieces of fish that were too long for the bread. I am also very pleased that they gave me wheat bread instead of white. The carrot cake was surprisingly not too sweet as I didn't want nothing sweet sweet. Bravo guy's“

“Well haven’t seen Tito in over 40 yrs but he always worked cooking fish ever since the good old days at Patsy in Harlem… but his store didn’t disappoint still that fresh fish fried to perfection…. “I have been going to this place since they first opened. I love this family and the food was always great. I moved out of state 20 years ago and went up 2 years ago. I was glad to see them still there and the Owner remembered me from back then. Love their food and the way they treated their employees and customers. I hope they are still there when I come up next time.“

“While strolling around Fulton Mall in Brooklyn, I happened upon this place. The line was nearly out the door so I anticipated that the food would be good or people in Brooklyn are just very hungry! People may be hungry, but the food was really good. I don’t trust everybody’s potato salad, but their potato salad was absolutely delicious. I didn’t give it five stars because I ordered fried whiting and many of the pieces that I received were just the skin, no real meat inside. But I would go back and try a different option.“

I got fish and fries, I used my own tarter sauce my; the seasoning on the fish was there (although the batter came apart very easily from thr fish). The food was good, service ehh.“

“I discovered Brooklyn Chckn ‘N’ Lbstr as a perfect place to have dinner with friends in a casual setting. The place has an intimate and soothing atmosphere, ideal for an evening hangout. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese that was highly creamy and filled with lobster pieces. The serving was quite big, and it was worth every coin! My buddies settled for different varieties of chicken dishes and were equally impressed by the taste. The staff did all they could to be of help and were quite warm. Jay fish market has been my go to for my saw food needs since I moved in the Bronx 6 yearw ago.
The fish is always fresh and the staff is attentive and hard working, they also SERVE fried seafood platters which I intend to TRY but have yet to do so.
The other day when I went to BUY my seafood, I noticed red tilapias. ? I wondered if they WERE a new breed since I never knew that tilapias came in that color, I enquired via google to make sure that they were in fact naturally grown as the black ones. To find out that they are compared to red snapper and it is said that the black ones are usually used for fillets. Anyway I brought one and to my surprise it was delicious, meaty and very tasty ?.
I am giving Jay fish market a thumbs up for selling such good seafood since I have been living in the Bronx. I recommend this location for all your seafood needs, the prices are great, the seafood is fresh and I know the fried seafood is good because people eat in there often even though the place is small.

“I found this gem of a restaurant 5 years ago. This is the ONLY place I go to for brown stew snapper. Mikey is a PHENOMENAL chef!!! If you don't live this side of Brooklyn, it's worth it to take a drive to get some of the absolute BEST food you will ever have ??. Blessings “

“The fish is fresh and good. They have a large variety of all kinds of seafood.The problem is: the portions are too small. They are very cheap with the veggies and yellow rice on steam orders.I will speak to the owners to change this, since the food alone would get 5 stars!“
