Tasty varieties of patties. My favorite are the vegetable ones. Delicious vegetarian peas soup. Lovely selection of pastries, including coconut and guava tarts, potato pones, cakes, and hard dough bread made fresh. Reasonable prices. I love to buy a taste of Jamaica here when I come to NY.
When I'm in the area I always try to stop off here before getting on the LIRR back to Brooklyn (Barclays Center). One day I went to the Golden Crust next door to order food but the line was too long and was not moving. I went into this place as there seemed to be no customers. But don't let the emptiness fool you. I ordered a small oxtail meal (includes rice and peas with vegetables), a slice of cake and a Ting soda. I happen to be coming here at the Conduit, more often than the Linden Blvd location. The ladies are very courteous and professional. The toto is great, the stew peas and the chicken soup is toppa toppa!! Wednesdays and Fridays with pigtails, for those who like it in their stew peas. I love me some Patmar!!
