Sagar Restaurant Reviews
I never had such a bad Chicken Sheek Kebab ( extremely spicy and salty)and Tikka masala ( they don't have a clue how to cook it) in my whole life. Their food is of very bad quality and over priced. They don't know how to make Bakhorkhani and gilapy.
Very Disappointed – Spoiled Sweets and No Accountability
I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. I bought some sweets from them, and when I got home, I found they were clearly spoiled – had a bad smell and taste. I returned right away to let them know, but instead of accepting responsibility or offering a refund or replacement, they refused to take them back and blamed me instead. This is unacceptable customer service. Selling spoiled food is a serious issue,...read full review
3 star because some of your foods are unbearably salty. Can't eat your chicken kabab with pilaf that already has salt, and somewhat better with plain white rice. But if you take a bite without plain white rice, your taste buds are stung DEAD. Can't eat it after this. Your beef kabab is too dry, and again salty. To make it more hearty and home-styled, please rethink your sodium content or you will lose customers.

Sagar Restaurant offers a variety of sweet and savory Bengali dishes. Their sweets, such as Ras Gula, are a highlight, although the milk syrup could be improved. Bakorkhani and roshogolla are also popular choices. For those craving Bengali cuisine, options like Kala bhuna, chicken samosa, and tea are well-regarded. The restaurant has a long-standing reputation for providing always fresh and authentic food, with many customers trusting their quality for over 20 years. It is especially recommended to visit on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday before 8 pm to enjoy consistent taste. The restaurant serves authentic Bangladeshi-style morning breakfast, including delicious dishes like dal with veg, porota, and beef kala buna. The food server and cashier have been praised for their nice behavior. Despite some negative feedback about service, the food remains a favorite for many who appreciate its authenticity and flavor.
