The owner seems really passionate about quality ingredients as well - he was telling another customer about how he roasts his own coffee that he serves which is so awesome!“

“The tofu bahn mi (which can be ordered either vegan or vegetarian with egg mayo, so make sure to specify) is absolutely delicious and I get it almost every time I'm at Camp Kingston. Highly recommended. The vegan red lentil soup is also great, with just the perfect level of heat. Other options include bagel with vegan cream cheese (I get it with their pickled dill veggies on top) and some of their salads. The staff at Camp Kingston are wonderful and accommodating, and they've offered to swap out meat for the baked tofu on other sandwiches as well. Updated from previous review on 2026-08-06“

“I got the hot chai tea latte and it was tepid, not hot. The bagels and cream cheese was huge and generous. But they dont have choices on cream cheese flavors. They have a small selection of yummy looking bakery, I didnt have any.

It appeared the person working in front with customers was also doing stuff in back in the kitchen.

Customers would come in and wait a while before they had to hollar to get someone to wait on them.

The place has small tables and chairs, but no lounge chairs or couches like you see in some coffee shops. There is an outside sitting area in back.“

“My wife Donna and I just enjoyed a fabulous Valentines Day dinner at Downtown Cafe. We have enjoyed Graziano's culinary artistry for 30 years now, (since the days of Mary Ps), and he just keeps getting better. My wife had the shortribs, and I had the sushi grade tuna with mushrooms and we enjoyed every bite. The service and atmosphere are the best. I would highly recommend the Downtown Cafe for a delicious, relaxing meal and great hometown atmosphere.“
