Today, I met up with my friends here, and I had placed an order through the app. However, due to a mistake with the location settings, I accidentally ordered to the Forest Hills location instead of this one. I tried to cancel the order on the app, but I couldn’t. When I explained the situation to the staff, they kindly helped me out and made sure I could receive my drinks at this location. Thanks to their kindness, I was able to start my day on a positive note.

I always get a mocha, and have 2 mini donuts with it one vanilla crème and one hazelnut. i've also tried 2 of the croissant sandwiches one with prosciutto and the turkey one and both were great- the croissants themselves are really soft and buttery. even though i live a mile away i still walk here every week“

The chicken empanada was soft and warm, with the perfect texture not dry like other places. It was so fresh and flavorful, I couldn’t get enough! I travel a lot, and one of the best parts of travel is the morning coffee quest. I like cappuccinos with whole milk and no sweetener. “For the Record is a gem. Music for everyone’s taste (and stuff they never imagined!), great beverages, and awesome staff. Lucas is the coolest, most down to earth owner and makes the experience of being there so joyful. 11/10 recommend stopping by, and even more so making it a regular spot! My partner and I have a hard time keeping our record collection tame since we keep coming back!

“Love this place. They have La Colombe coffee drinks which are excellent, and a variety of fresh baked pastries and hearty filled croissants plus fresh pressed juice bottles and immunity drinks etc.

The vibe is very refreshing for the area and feels like something straight out of LA or Brooklyn with floor to ceiling windows and a special area in the side room for dogs and people to hang. Extra props for the compostable straws.“

My gf and I ordered a slice of Banana Walnut Bread, Spearmint Hot Tea, Iced Passionfruit Black Tea and Kouign-amann. I've been going here at least weekly for over a year now and only had good experiences. I only wish they stopped taking orders over the previous customer's shoulder - ie having to place the order while the person before is finishing payment. I don't mind the extra 10 secs of wait time, and in any case when it's a little busier, placing orders is not really the bottleneck.“

Parking: Easy to find“

“The best coffee in NYC, probably in New York State. All the staff are amazing, and the owner, Ben, is the nicest guy you’ll meet. Once you meet him, you can see why the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have travelled and tasted specialty coffee around the world, not much compared to villager. The coffee options are constantly rotating, I fully trust Ben’s palate to showcase a beautiful coffee at his beautiful cafe. The interior is really cozy and welcoming with espresso based equipment located toward the front of the bar, whilst reserving the back-end of the bar to the delicious pourovers they are constantly brewing.

If you are in NYC, you MUST check out Villager.“

“The place was quite clean, open, and *nice*, but fairly characterless. It looks fantastic for a study group session. There is ample seating. The open windows are probably the best for people watching. But though the chai was tasty, nothing really would make me handle the terrible parking around Dumbo to return.“
