“A ton of fun. They were able to have a group of 5 of us drop in for about an hour. We got a quick tutorial on axe throwing with the various tools and then we were left to do it ourselves with periodic checkins make sure it was going good. The boozy moos served there was also fun. I was able to get a flight of the ice creams and try a couple of different flavors. Would totally go again.“

It's a bit too modern for my tastes with unusual and trendy dishes that seem to prioritize unusual ingredients over tasty dishes. That said, if you like that thing, they definitely do it well.I like stopping in for a burger or veggie burger at lunch, but their extended menu just isn't for me. The restaurant is run very well, staff is extremely professional, and the atmosphere is great.“

“My bartender had the widest selection of gin I've ever heard of. So I decided to go back to my basic Gin Martini. He recommended the Brooklyn Gin since I'm all about my local distillers... He also recommended that I try blue cheese olives instead of plain olives and orange bitters instead of my go-to Angostura bitters. The Brooklyn Gin has a distinct smooth flavor, unlike anything I've ever had before. “Lovely spot to stop for a quick lunch. I had the Reuben, my company had the club, the mac n cheese, and the buffalo salad + onion soup. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The ambiance was nice. “The Daisy is a cute chic taco and margarita place. The tacos are fusion, they have a bulgogi one with kimchi and a fried chicken and a coconut shrimp one plus others. Not authentic Mexican tacos but stills delicious. Classy place.The margaritas are strong! I saw a sign for buy one get one margaritas on Wednesdays. They have a decent amount of tables even though it’s a small place, there is a back room with more tables.The servers were attentive and friendly.The coconut margarita was creamy and I liked the coconut shreds on the rim. Margaritas and tacos are all around $13. Tacos come with 2. Bill can definitely add up but it’s worth it. Great environment to catch up with friends.The chip appetizer with pico de gallo was delicious. The chips had a great crisp, they tasted deep fried. Perfectly salted. I liked my coconut shrimp tacos the best. 2 big meaty shrimp in each taco, crunchy and cooked well and the pineapple in it gave it a nice sweetness. The fried chicken tacos were a mix of dark and light meat chunks, which were very tender and soft. Though a bit too soft for my likening of chicken texture. And the sauce has a very strong cilantro flavor.If I’m in the area again I would love to come back and try other tacos and margarita flavors!“
“Didn't know what to expect as i've never been here before but i walked in and saw the newly renovated restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Sat by the cozy fireplace and I had Allie as a server, she was sweet, informative and attentive! I ordered the half order of wings and they were great, good sauce. I then got the lobster roll and was floored by the flavor. It's fresh and melts in your mouth, i finished the whole plate! Such a hidden gem in a chill upscale environment! Not too expensive at all. Inside the ambiance is just as delicious as the food - low, soft lighting, a lively bar area, and a neat and uniform array of tables. Being the solitary soul I am, I sat in the row of quiet seats outlooking the street beyond.The setting is nice. I get a cool glass of water as I look over the drink menu. All the wines are dry so the helpful server helped me settle on the Love Maker. It's a subtly floral cocktail with hints of rose water, that made me think fairies might still live. She was a looker for sure and served as the perfect palate cleanser throughout my meal.I decided to skip appetizers and go straight into the main course. It's a frigid February evening in Albany, I needed something to warm my bones. The braised beef tips atop a creamy polenta, with grilled carrots and parsnips seemed like the perfect fair. The dish was beautifully arranged, and well, I'm a sucker for pretty food. It was tender, delectable... every bite seasoned well. It had soul; it lifted me from that evening's mid-winter funk.The beef was incredibly moist and tender. They have daily specials that they post on Facebook dailly. They always have great cakes too. It doesn't look like anything from outside, so don't let that keep you back. “Had dinner there last night and it was excellent. This is the location of the former Lombardo's restaurant on lower Madison Avenue. This is a new Albany location of the legendary Hattie's in Saratoga Springs, which has been serving up southern fare since the early 1930s. There is off-street parking next to the restaurant and in a lot directly across the street. Ambiance inside is lively and the renovations in the space kept many of the old Albany elements with a mix of New Orleans, all updated and welcoming. The cocktail I had - a Vieux Carre - was mixed to perfection. Jambalaya, grit cakes, key lime pie all outstanding. Friends had the famous fried chicken and the ribs - rave reviews. Excellent service. Highly recommended.Parking: Next to the restaurant and across the street.“

“We stumbled upon Wellington’s by accident for lunch while waiting to tour the Capital Building. It’s located conveniently right across the street. What a find! The building is gorgeous, the furniture fabulous, the service exceptional and the food delicious. Our waiter was wonderful and took excellent care of us. We had the lobster grilled cheese, which was incredible, brussel sprouts, fries & chips. Highly recommend the grilled cheese! We will definitely come back to this place again for dinner.“
