“My first visit during lunchtime with my buddy for his birthday. He knew the owner (Zoe) who introduced himself to me and was very friendly. He let us sample a few items. I ordered the Oxtail plate with rice & beans, and plantains. I also got sides of fried pork and a chicken patty to try. My buddy ordered a plate with the fried pork and chicken patty as well. The Oxtails were delicious! Everything else was seasoned well and the rice was excellent. The patty’s were flavorful, stuffed, and fried perfectly with a nice light crust. This is a small no frills place but nice & clean. You can also get orders to go. State street parking is challenging so you might have use a paid lot or pay for a metered parking space.“

“I got there as they were closing, but the service was still outstanding. I ordered the Stew chicken and pickled red onions over yellow rice and beans. The chicken was phenomenal and the rice was soft and fluffy. The beans damn near melted along wit the rice. I would definitely go back and get the curry goat next time“
