“We came here on a Sunday early afternoon and had one of our best recent dining experience. We live close by so we went in hoping it would be a gem and it absolutely didnt dissappoint. The garlic naan might just be the best we’ve ever had. The mussels were very fresh and not sure if it’s the season but the flesh was super fat. The sauce it was cooked in was also very very good. Dipping the naan in that sauce was straight heaven. We also ordered the rotisserie chicken, which we thought was a bit pricey at first but man, it was cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy skin, JUICY all throughout, with grilled lemons and a decent sauce. The service was also phenomenal. Our server had great energy, and provided us the perfect balance of attentiveness and space.
The vibe of this place is also top notch. The modest exterior is only hiding the spaceous, modern, and elegant interior.
Overall, we could not be more thrilled about this find and will definitely be coming back to try their drinks and sea bass dish! Highly recommended for an absolute treat.”

“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! “Came here for my anniversary dinner and was blown away by Breeze (pun intended). Easily some of, if not the best Sichuan food we’ve ever had. I got the Winter Frost #2 cocktail and I wasn’t sure what type of flavor I was expecting but it didn’t taste like what I expected in a good way! The cocktail had a mildly sweet, light but depth in flavor profile.

The ginger sauce green beans were some of the best green beans I’ve ever tasted. The sauce they used was addicting. Second favorite item was the diced chicken with chili pepper, which was super spicy but absolutely delicious. But to be honest all of the dishes were home runs! I was just here last night and I’m already daydreaming about coming back to try more dishes.

Also the service was exceptional. The restaurant was full and there were only two guys to cover the front of the house (the hostess, waiter, bartender, and bus boy). They definitely had their hand fulls but still were efficient. Since it was our anniversary dinner they ended up surprising us with a pumpkin rice cake dessert on the house which we thought was the sweetest gesture. I couldn’t have been happier since I absolutely love rice cakes 😋”

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!”

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“I was very unfortunately openly weeping intermittently throughout brunch (bad morning) but our server handled it perfectly and didn’t make it weirder than it already was. Shout out to that king! Also the food was very good and they played the entirety of being killed by geese which was pleasant. Would come again thank you for the extra napkins (high quality, great for dabbing at tears) xox and also my Bloody Mary was excellent”

“We pulled up to Pizzeria Panina right at 7PM, and the vibe was exactly what you’d want on a laid-back summer night in Ridgewood. It was casual, cozy, and well-designed. It’s a small, intimate space, but it doesn’t feel cramped. You can tell they pay attention to the little details.

I didn’t order any drinks this time, but I loved that they didn’t charge extra for sparkling water! My homies did get a few drinks.

The service was incredible. Friendly, attentive, but never overbearing. Everyone was on point from the second we walked in.

The special ravioli they had tonight was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, balanced flavors. Who knew corn and ravioli would work so well together. The pizza was great too—high-quality dough and toppings—but the pies run a bit small, just something to keep in mind if you’re rolling in hungry.

For dessert, we got the sticky toffee cake with gelato! Amazing. The olive oil on the ice cream was crazy good and the sea salt flakes on the cake was AMAZING! The watermelon sorbet was also AMAZING! It was refreshing, fresh, and the perfect way to close out the meal.

Overall, I’d give them a strong 4.5 out of 5. The pastas and desserts really shine. Pies are tasty, just on the smaller side. But between the service, flavor, and thoughtful touches, Panina’s 100% worth the trip.”
