“A warm welcoming place offering French Creole cuisine from Reunion island. A compact menu offering very reasonably priced apps and mains, and a lot of lentil and rice. Ordered the sampler though a few items we wanted were out. Tender coconut shrimp and beef Bourguignon entrees were excellent. We were well taken care of by the staff.”

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“Gator is a standout restaurant. Definitely in the running for best brunch in Greenpoint. I’m absolutely shocked that this place isn’t full to the brim every weekend. Every item on their menu is carefully devised, unique, and created to a very high standard. Their green eggs and ham are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked. The flatbread?? Incredible. Great service too, everyone is always welcoming and friendly. I hope they’re around for a long time to come!”

“Not enough words to describe how much I love this place.

It is consistently delicious. I will always start off with a Bruschetta or Raddichio Caesar and it hits every time. The pizzas are fantastic and they always have some funky flavor pairings that are surprisingly tasty. There is hardly a wait except on super busy nights (and then barely a wait at all) and the atmosphere is vibey. I have brought many friends and the reviews are always the same: amazing.

I’d recommend this as a great neighborhood spot any day.”
