“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!“

“At first, I really enjoyed this bar upon entering. Soft country music was playing in the background and beers were reasonably priced. I overheard one guy yell that he wanted to hear some Metallica, so I figured I'd play some songs on the jukebox. Well, jukebox ate my money, said it was playing my songs, but nothing! Then, blonde haired bartender (who looked like you had to pay her just to smile) decided to just turn off the music altogether and put on the TVs at full volume for some boring soccer game. I am so tired of bars blasting soccer games rather than music! Therefore, I left. They would have made a lot more money from me if they only kept the music on. I will give it another chance later this summer and hope for a better experience. Please be a dive bar, not a soccer bar!“

“We were a group of 23 to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and John, Alex, the staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating. The beer was awesome, the appetizers delicious, the venue just gorgeous, the music and the vibe so good!! We will be back again!“

“The Canary is by far the best locals bar in Crown Heights. Everyone is very friendly. Excellent food with an array of the best beer and whiskey Ireland has to offer. Best Guinness pour I have found outside of Ireland! Live music on Sundays earlier in the evening. A must see if you are in Brooklyn!“

“The food is amazing! We had the mussels, Brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish sandwich, and burger. The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was so much fun. Really had a laugh at the bathroom with all the googly eyes.“

“Great chill spot with chill bartenders and other patrons. Single cash payment pool table is amazing. Two fun old school game machines. Always cool and never hot inside during these summer days. Today is almost 90 degrees and it's nice inside of Denny's! One large big screen TV's on the opposite side of the bar and two medium sized TV's facing the bar which are all great and perfectly placed. Cool dart board game available as well. Atm machine that always comes in clutch for me as this is a cash only bar which is my preferred method of payment anyways at bars. In addition to the great atmosphere they sell delicious pretzels, pizz, a great selection of beer with the Lagunitas IPA in a chilled glass from a perfectly temperatured tap as my go to and a great liquor selection. Bringing outside food is very welcomed as well.“

“I’ve attended many birthdays and other special occasions in the main front room at Mug’s, and recently hosted a small get together on a Thursday night. The staff was super accommodating in helping me reserve a few high-top tables, especially given how last-minute my request was. The space is well laid out for gatherings of 20 to 25 people if you are looking to enjoy a bar atmosphere without having to be in a private room. Looking forward to my next visit!“

“The only reason I gave the food a 4 is they sell what is supposed to be macaroni and cheese it was shell and a white sauce I kept tasting it in hopes I would taste a hint of cheese no such luck Everything else there is quality and as expected. I live their wings they are fresh and not pumped with steroids.

“Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Surprised that this isn't one of those spots with a long wait as the space is open and inviting, the service good and the food very good. We had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a shrimp po boy. Both excellent. Will come back for sure“

“Best fries ever! The burgers use to be good... Idk if the changed management or workers but, definitely not the same as a year ago when I first came here. Vegetables are not fresh & not enough quantity. I had to ask for a good amount of veggies on my burger since the last time I went there all they gave me was a leaf of lettuce (the core!) & 3 strips of onions. Ps Spicy mayo sauce is good“

“(Nov 2014) Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesn’t quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!“

“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. “Union Hall is one of the best venues we have ever performed at. Not only is it a fun and charming place, the staff are super hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. From planning to execution, Nora and Neel were very courteous and helpful. On the day of, Erin, Neel, and even the security guard Danny let us in an hour before our contract stated and helped us get set up early. Nothing but compliments and recommendations for these guys!“

“Three of us visited this cocktail bar on a Thursday evening, and despite being a weekday, it was already buzzing with a weekend-like energy. We chose to sit outside, which was perfect—the weather was lovely, and the ambience was vibrant. Service was a bit on the slower side, but nothing too bothersome.

My friends ordered orange wine and enjoyed it, while I skipped drinks and went for the fried pork chop. It turned out to be more like a pork schnitzel: a breaded cutlet served simply with a charred slice of lemon. The flavor and quality were excellent, though the portion felt small for the price, especially since it was plated like an entrée without any sides. Still, I was satisfied with it.

“i love this place. whenever i need a stop for the night i find myself here. the bartenders are friendly and charismatic, the drinks are cheap and the music is always good. with an amazing cast of characters you'll always have a good night here.“

“I used to come here for their chicken wings which are great, but recently this place has invested in a smoker and is serving authentic bbq pulled pork, brisket, ribs and chicken thighs every Tuesday and Sunday.

I ordered half a rack of their sweet & spicy ribs with complimentary two sides (mac & cheese & corn on the cob) & complimentary cornbread

My total was about $23. The ribs were meaty & fall of the bone tender with a great sticky sweet & spicy molasses style bbq sauce evenly distributed on top

The ribs were so infused with smokiness that I later walked around my apartment wondering if someone was having a bonfire nearby, you can tell these are slow cooked to perfection.

The cornbread was my next favorite thing about this meal. It seems authentically homemade with corn kernels throughout
& the mac & cheese & the corn balanced everything out with a nice creamy cheesy sweetness.

Overall excellent BBQ, you can feed two people from one order, I would just suggest ordering an extra side dish as the sides seem to be intended for a single person.

Monday is my Friday and my friends will walk over here with me and let me get a proper pint or three. Life ain’t so bad when you can sit here for an evening.“

“Ok, this is a great neighborhood spot with affordable drink and good music ( r&b, hip hop etc) currently there’s no kitchen but they allow you to bring in your own food. At night a taco food truck comes at night as well. Great watering hole to meet up with friends. Bartenders are friendly and mix the drinks well.“
