“I've been to several Tropical Jerk locations (Uniondale, Baldwin), and I’d say this Roosevelt spot is the least crowded, which is a big plus. The parking lot does fill up quickly because of other places on the strip, so keep that in mind when you head over.

A heads-up for breakfast lovers: many Jamaican spots, including this one, stop serving breakfast pretty early, so if you're in the mood for ackee and dumplings, make sure you get there early enough!

Speaking of which, I had the ackee and fried dumpling. The ackee was tasty but a bit watery, which knocked it down a bit for me. On the flip side, the fried dumplings were great size, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and at the ideal temp.

Pricing is standard for Jamaican spots in the area, so you won't find anything too out of the ordinary there. One thing to note is that they don't take over-the-phone orders, so I recommend calling ahead to check if they have what you're craving before making the trip

“Visited from Orlando,Florida and was in the mood for some Guyanese homemade food for brunch. We ate here and they had a wide variety of food options from doubles, cook up, bake and salt fish and various curries paired with The best tasting roti I have had in a long time. We ended it all off with some very tasty Pastries that are homemade in store. The owner Serita is very hospitable and made sure we had everything and that we were well taken care of! If you are ever in the Queens/Long Island area I highly encourage you to stop in for a hearty meal“

“Was in the mood for a beef patty this restaurant was the first choice google recommended. I must say the aroma from the restaurant alone will have you intoxicated. I was greeted by the staff that’s was very kind and helpful. The beef patty was flaky and very tasty the spices complemented the meat perfectly. “We catered from Trini Bites for a brunch with friends to celebrate our recent wedding. Working with Renee was an absolute pleasure. From start to finish, she was attentive and responsive. We knew we wanted to cater Trini food as my husband is Trini and I felt the stakes were high to make sure everything went well! And Renee delivered on every front.

The food was an absolute smash hit -- no tray was left untouched or unpolished, and we even sent folks home with to-go containers as they loved the food so much. Particular favorites were the stew chicken, the buss up shot, the mini doubles, and the curry chana and potatoes. Renee made sure that our dietary preferences were met, which was no small feat as we had vegetarians, vegans, kosher-observant (no shellfish), and halal-observant (no pork or pork byproducts) in attendance!

If you've ever been curious Trini food or simply want to serve something different for your party or gathering, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend working with Renee and Trini Bites at all.“

“What a great experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. Good customer service. I had the Salmon, veggies, and rice/peas. I was definitely satisfied. Topped it off with the Bleu Island Rum Punch which was really good. A must try and I will be back.“

“We always order using delivery apps though wanted to come in for the full experience. SO GLAD WE DID. First off, this has to be one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been in. That made me feel really happy. Now to the food! Came for the Taco Tuesday Special and so happy we did. We came very late in the evening so we missed the jerk chicken tacos though I was not disappointed in the jerk beef tacos. Such a great deal and it was delicious. These were the full size tacos, not the minis. Run don’t walk as I’m sure this deal wont last. We also ordered the fried fish and grits , we paid for extra for more fish and so goad we did. I didn’t expect a carribean place to be my new go to fish spot but here we are! We ordered the collard greens which were a little different than the southern style I’m accustomed to though had a spice to kick it up.

Friendly staff and very welcoming. They offered us samples of their new fresh made sea moss which was delicious and we grabbed more to take home.

“I absolutely love this place. This is a little hidden gem in the food court. Food is always delicious! The two women and the gentleman that work there are just awesome and always friendly. I literally eat here 4 times a week since I work in the mall area. Curry chicken and stewed beef a hit ! Patties are always tasty 😋. One request please get scotch bonnet sauce please 🙂.“
