“We were able to have a pleasant time here with our pals. The service was great, the cold beverages were excellent, and the meals were satisfying. Fantastic venue for watching sports and hanging out in a relaxed atmosphere. Although, there were some rowdy people that I wish were dealt with quicker.“
“I have been here twice and both times I had an amazing time! The food here is great! I have had the brisket sandwich, the steak tidbit sandwich and the French dip sandwich, all comes with French fried that are so deliciously yummy as well. I will most definitely be coming back and trying out the rest of the menu! Stay tuned for more!“
“Was there Monday for happy hour. Buy one get one free appetizers is a great deal, can't take leftovers with you, understandable. The Ahi tuna and fish tacos were large portions and delicious. Johanna the bartender was friendly and attentive. The gentleman (dougie?) who came on after her I can not say the same about, he was rude and unfriendly and talked poorly about the previous bartender and a waitress in front of customers.“
“The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“
“So glad to be back at the bar. The staff and owner are amazing and taking every precaution necessary. Y check when you walk in the door, hand sanitizer and social distancing being practiced. The renovations look amazing and the service is as great as ever. The food is great and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to come back for more drinks.“
“Our GO TO pub in Baldwin. It's like walking into Cheers Bar - everyone knows your name and you are greeted with a hug and a smile. Shay is just the BEST and the staff is simply amazing. We love watching games, listening to the bands and playing trivia on Thursday night. Just a GREAT hometown place to hang!!!“
“We went to this bar after watching Jokoy's show at the UBS arena so you can imagine we were already hype. We pick this cause it was the closest and has two reviews but both with 5 stars. And this place did not disappoint. It's not the bar, it's the group of friends who hang at this place includes the owner. We had the best time! We even follow each other after on Instagram.“
“Really great place. Found this place when looking for a late night place to eat as we were picking someone up from JFK, and we are from out of town. The website said open to 4am. We made a reservation for 11 and were told the kitchen closes at midnight. We were running late they called us and let us get there at 11:40. They're was 12 of us! Great food, and friendly even though they were closing. Would definitely come back if in the area. The entire party enjoyed. Special shoutout to Eleanor, she was amazing“
“Raxx Pool Hall in West Hempstead, NY was so much fun and exactly what I needed on a Friday night! The staff was super friendly and the DJ was dope. The music created a whole vibe for the whole night. I really didn't expect for their food to be so good being that its a pool hall. The wings were good but the onion rings were the best onion rings I've had anywhere.I'm definitely going back to play pool because I had a good time but trust me you want to try their wings and onion rings! They have a lot of drink selections as well so just check the place out!“
“Not often you get a response within the hour from the owner. Was disappointed when we showed up to the bar and it was closed. Expressed disappointment and was answered right away from the owner with a very valid reason for the closure. Appreciate the response and we will definitely try again in the near future!“
“The onion soup had lots if onions and the cheese was good, but could have used more. It was a bit salty, but if you like that then it's OK. The wings were excellent. Meaty and moist. I asked for garlic butter on them which isn't on the menu. Really enjoyed them. Quick friendly service.“
“What can I say about my FAVORITE food being prepared with excellence? I’ll be a repeat customer always. I love a good wing, they make a great wing. Quesadillas, burgers, and fries (that’s important) are delicious Staff has always been attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is exactly what a bar should be. No doubt a recommend.“
“Had lunch at TGIF early on a Saturday afternoon (before the dinner crowd).Loved the relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. The whiskey-glazed wings and burgers are great.Recommended!! ????Parking: The restaurant is in the Green Acres mall, so parking is shared with other mall traffic.Parking spaces near the restaurant can sometimes be scarce... especially during mall peak shopping times.“
“Best time ever! I've been here a few times on different days and I've never been disappointed. Their food is so good. They make everything fresh in small batches daily. The Ropa Vieja (shredded stead) tastes like my grandma made it. The DJ played a nice mix of music. Something for everyone. Everyone on staff is so much fun to interact with. From the security to the bartenders, everyone is so friendly. The 'regular' patrons mingle with everyone and it feels like I'm at a friends house party. Everyone is so accommodating and we had so much fun. Def a fun spot if your in the area. Doesn't matter what day of the week it is. Mondays are wing night. I think it was like $5 for all you can eat wings.“

“LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! First time there, and definitely want to return. Delicious wings, steak sandwich, burgers, and shepherd pie. Had a great time while watching the football game (and also boxing!!) on various TVs. Staff were friendly and great crowd. I can't ask for more. Highly recommend!“
“The wings are banging and the sandwiches are a good size so make sure you're hungry. Plus they have mozzarella sticks and corn poppers that everyone loves. And the drinks flow great. Very friendly atmosphere and great place to have a party.“
“I came to Parsons with my friend who lives in the neighborhood. I was very impressed with the service. Jase is a really good bartender. Her ability to craft any cocktail perfectly, no matter the request, is truly impressive. I would 100% recommend coming here.“
“Food was excellent as well as service. Bother in law that who is a chef also agreed .The problem I have is they have a policy on weekends to add 18 percent tip to bill. I do not mind that but it not clear when I was given check .I saw a total for food and tax tip was not included. When in got my statement form AmEx I noticed the discrepancy. I then called manager and he said i in fact tipped twice as he then said something about a red flag that is on check that indicates a tip will be included . Very confusing so be careful when receive you check as waitress does not inform you either. I believe it has been noted in other reviewsParking: Lot is next to restaurant“
“I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are delicious and the team is welcoming and cooperative. always when we go to this place we enjoy a splendid time. I recommend this place with pleasure.“
“The food tasted good, and the wings are a must have. They do .50cent wings on somedays so its best to go than to get a quick meal. The service is quick and friendly and the bar had Christmas decorations all around so it was a cure atmosphere.“
“Chill bar with big lawn games inside, huge TVs above bar, plenty of seating. Food was really good and priced well. The service is good, staff is attentive and bathrooms are clean. Parking is available for the Tangram mall. I would come back with friends and chill. Bartender mentioned that they have a DJ on Saturday nights so that might be something to check out.“
“Food here is amazing. Yes it's in a bowling alley snack bar. But it's restaurant quality food. We love there fish tacos. Fresh fish so good. Coconut shrimp crispy and clean. Dad loved there chicken quesadilla prepared good. Intrude the bronx sausage and pork chop dish with broccoli rabe wow they is a great dish. Very reasonable easy parking and good food“
“I recently dined at Madeira Sports Café with a friend on a quiet Tuesday night. The dual ambiance of a bar and dining area created a welcoming atmosphere. Our meal started with delicious beef pastries as an appetizer. For the main course, my friend enjoyed the pasta a la vodka, while I opted for the grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables. We paired our meals with a glass of Portuguese red and white wine. The attentive service by Mauricio, our waiter, truly stood out. When I praised the white wine without knowing its name, Mauricio went the extra mile, bringing an empty bottle for us to photograph. He also thoughtfully changed the TV channel from loud soccer to horse riding, enhancing our dining experience. Mauricio’s timely and polite check-ins added to the overall positive impression. The food itself was exceptional, and we chose to forgo dessert. With Mauricio’s attentive service and the delectable dishes, I confidently give Madeira Sports Café a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. We’re already looking forward to another delightful dinner at this establishment and highly recommend it to others.“
“I went there for the first time and thought the bar wasn't packed, I had the most wonderful time. I drank and I played pool and had fun. Many thanks to Ms Alex for being welcoming to a stranger and for the drinks. See you again soon. Thanks for a great night!“
“Very cozy and common. For being located so close to Wall St, this is ideal place if you don’t want to overspend and get a good cozy atmosphere without feeling like you are out of place for not wearing a shirt and ordering some 20 ingredient cocktail.“
“I absolutely loved this place. I was in town for a death in my family witch had me a bit in my feeling and really deep in the bottle. The owners were the sweetest walking and waiting with me for my cab. I would definitely recommend this place to all of the ladies who like to get out alone at times. Because the men in this establishment are top knot gentlemen. Thanks you guys again!“
“I've visited Caribbean Sports Lounge twice and both times resulted in positive experiences . The sports lounge offers a great weekend ambience with an array of dishes, hookah and amazing djs, providing a diverse selection of music. My second time was during the day for lunch where there was a wide menu selection and the environment was relaxing. I definitely would recommend visiting.“
“I cannot stress this enough but this is such a hidden gem for a lounge in all of Flushing. The atmosphere was great, there was beer pong table set up, a darts machine to play, and karaoke going on with individual rooms if you want a more private area to sing your heart out. The staff was amazing and so polite. They were attentive and made sure you were okay and having a great time. HIGHLY recommended (:“
“I was impressed with this restaurant. My friends and I were greeted warmly and seated right away. I ordered the quinoa burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was quite good and the fries were stellar. My friend ordered the BLTA salad and she said it was okay. The atmosphere was like a friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant where everyone knows your name. Overall, I'd definitely come back here if I was in the area to eat and enjoy a beer.“
“I have been to the Tap House a dozen times. I moved to Queens during the pandemic. This is my regular "watering hole." I don't go to bars to go to bars, ever. I stop in here en route, either coming back from Manhattan or headed there. It is convenient to the LIRR stop and only a couple of blocks from the 71st/Continental subway stop, and I often eat in the neighborhood. I have no complaints. They don't recognize me. That is fine. I'd rather be anonymous. Plus, a dozen visits in four years hardly qualifies me as a barfly like Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin at Cheers, a reference that likely dates me, since the spinoff to that sitcom has been off the air for a couple decades. I have noticed that the venue is popular: on some visits, the place is packed, and you can hardly get in. Beyond the basics, I would say they have a great selection of beers. It is just outstanding for a neighborhood joint. If you are one of those connoisseurs who samples the beverage, keeping track (I know there are social media apps; I enjoy imbibing, but I do not need another app to play with), you would do well with a session here. I have eaten a few times. The food is what you would expect. That is a compliment, not a criticism. It is quite competent, and that is tempting. (I am at a point in life when I ought to avoid sliders, burgers, fried chicken, and onion rings, and delicacies such as poutine.)“
“My family & I came to this location, the host Laurence was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Zyeire was our waiter he was kind, friendly and efficient. Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. The food and drinks were great too!Thank you all!“
