“I wanted to Thank Everyone at the Sunrise Diner for all the years they made my Parents feel like family whenever they went there. My Father has since passed but my Sister took my Mother there today and they gave my Mom hugs, told her they loved her and how cute she was. I was in tears when I heard this from my Sister. I am so Happy that my Mom has this place to go to to get out and feel so loved by so many. Over the years the Sunrise Diner has been a very Happy Place to go to. The service is the best we've ever had. They've treated my Family like Family. I cannot thank the People at the Sunrise Diner enough! They mean so much to my Family. And you can't beat their food!!! “Great old school coffee shop/diner, one of the best in the county. I live nearby and have been here many times. Great service, great food in large amounts, just all around good place to get breakfast or lunch.

“Fast Service and seating even when the parking lot is full..(the sit and wait method will grab you a space fastest) the staff is always friendly. The Crab Cake Benedict is one of the best we've ever had and it's a hard dish to get right to the point it's the only place we have it now...the Crab is real Crab and a plentiful portion, the Apple French Toast is another favorite. We've eaten here many times and was always pleased with the portions and quality..They have good deserts too and also serve liquor (drinks). The Restaurant is Newer / Modern and the bathrooms are always clean. Definitely a place you'd enjoy eating at!“

“My buddy and I went to dinner at the Grand Stage Diner on 4/10/24 prior to the Islanders game. The diner was clean, the hostess was very nice and friendly and the wait staff was excellent. We each ordered burgers w/ fries. I have to say it was one of the best cheeseburgers I ever had at a diner. Food was hot, perfectly cooked. Superb! I would definitely go back. “Came here for Mother’s Day and the food was delicious. The service was way too slow though. They were packed but really understaffed. A nice server came and introduced herself and I sat with coffee for a good 45 mins until someone brought our food over. Several other tables were waiting for the same time as well, maybe more. The server however was very nice. Everything is cooked fresh here and I enjoyed tasting everything because I was full by the time I took the first few bites. I recommend hiring more staff especially on busy holidays.“

“Joe and Brunie recommend City Island Diner. Stop in 7 am to 3 pm. Brunie had a delicious western omelette and hash browns with a coke. I enjoyed a turkey burger and a big fresh salad with good coffee. Lots of choices on the menu including specials. Really enjoyed walking city island avenue.“

“One of the best diners i know in queens/ nassau county. From the minute you walk in door there is a host. When you sit down cold ice water is served right away. Wait staff is prompt with taking your order and serving you. They check in on you during your meal. The food is fresh, hot and plenty! Worth the amount you pay. “We've been passing this place for over 20 years on our trip to New York and never had a chance to stop by... WE MISSED A LOT! We specifically decided on dining at the Omega Diner tonight and the good thing we did! We met there at 7 pm for a family dinner with our son who moved to New York. Kind of a half way between or PA home and his place in NY. The place wasn't very busy. We were sitted right away. The waiter was with us in less than a minute, and in another few minutes we were served our water, seltzer and hot tea. The waiter took our order, advising on what is good and what he would recommend. Great guy! Very friendly, very patient, very customer oriented. My wife got her cream of turkey soup in another few minutes. At that point I added the matzoh ball soup for myself. It was served right away. It looked so good that my son took it from me! I ordered another portion of it and asked to get me an additional bowl to split it. Well, in a few minutes it was served with extra bowl full of additiina steaming broth. This soup tasted very-very good. And the size of that matzoh ball!!! It was of the size of a baseball ⚾️ !!! Yes, and my wife's cream of turkey soup - delicious!!! We did not even want to eat anything else after that but... we already ordered our main meals... Well, everything was served fast and tasted great. My Omega club sandwich (recommended by the waiter) - delicious, Omega appetizers - perfect, deluxe cheeseburger - very nice, baked mix seafood for my wife - tasty and nicely presented, looking very appealing. Obviously, at least half of all this went home with us... We needed room for the sweets. Cappuccino, chocolate chip cookie, chocolate cheesecake - all was great, presentable and delicious! And all this for under $90 (plus tip of course) for the party of four! In today's world this is a pretty good deal! Especially, with such a great service, clean and nicely designed and maintained place and nice portions sizes! We will definitely come back to this place again. They have so many interesting and appealing items on their menu that we want to try...“

Home fries has tricolor peppers (which is nay for me but yay for bell pepper lovers). Wheat toast was freakin 5 grain or 7 grain fancy toast.

“First time here and will be coming back to try another menu item. It took me a long time to decide what to get. They have a lot of food to choose from from breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, etc. Pay cash to save on the bill (as advertised). I did not take any photos but this place is accessible by the MTA Q12/13. Q30/31. There is a BUS STOP in front of the Diner. This diner is located along Northern Blvd. (Bayside area) in Queens. They have parking as well.

Kid-friendliness: There was a kids birthday party at the time, so it is definitely Kid-friendly!“
