“The food and service here are amazing. I can confidently say that I’ve never had a bad experience coming here. The food is great, the drinks are great, and everything is reasonably priced.

I highly recommend the huevos con chorizo if you come to brunch here. Shout out to the waitress and bartender that were serving me & my wife during the Norway vs England game. They were very attentive and friendly while we were watching the games (didn’t catch their names unfortunately).“

I had vegetable quesadella. My friend had an egg white vegetable omelet with hash browns. The portions are generous! Our waitress Eloise made the dining experience here pleasurable. Would definitely go back!“

“We started with the blueberry pancakes for something sweet. Growing up on Long Island, pancakes were a priority for a diner. Here, their pancakes are very similar to what I grew up eating. They are very fluffy and the rendered blueberries in the pancake batter give a very nice sweet/acidic contrast. They were perfect.

The chorizo burrito was very creamy and every bite was enjoyable, thats the description I will use. The home fries were very well seasoned using an even amount of peppers/onions with the potatoes.

The chorizo benedict was great. The hollandaise sauce was different in the sense that it didnt taste like a traditional benedict sauce. Traditionally the yolk and the vinegar are the stars of the sauce. This sauce had a different taste that made those two ingredients not that star. The saltiness of the chorizo on top was fantastic, mixing with the creaminess of fresh avocados and perfectly poached eggs. The muffin was also perfectly toasted.

Overall, an amazing local restaurant and I will be coming back for sure!“

“Hit the spot. I had the “Mexican” Omelette with added ham. Along with what looks to be actual home fries made from actual non processed potatoes.. not the chopped up store bought kind.. Either I was exhausted from walking all day and it being 2 AM, or this food was just that good! Never the less, I will definitely be eating there again!“

“I came here regularly when the original owner George was in charge. Charming guy who stopped what he was doing to yell Hello to everyone who walked in. The food was regular diner food that he elevated. Huge portions and decent price. He retired or left and people who worked for him took over. I rarely go now. Food is decent but prices went up and portions are smaller. The servers are good and personable. Place seems to always be busy since there are several schools and offices in the area. Still decent but you don't get as much value for your money and no charm and personality from George.“

“It’s such a yummy spot on Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village!

The service is always good. The staff are always friendly. I have never had a bad meal here - after many many times at the Metropolitan Diner.

The only negatives are the difficulty parking (welcome to Middle Village) and the sometimes long wait (but, that’s what you get when the food is superior)!“

“I love everything about this place. They deliver to my house when I’m lazy on Sundays and I brought two of my kids there and they’re very picky and they love it. Also, the quality of the food you would think that the prices would be way more than they are. This place is a hidden gem. I don’t understand why it’s not packed all the time.“

“Neptune Diner is the best. I usually go every Sunday to have a cheese burger. Specifically I usually get the Neptune Burger with the bacon and grilled onions. Their menu is extensive and there’s something for everyone. Our server Nico is very friendly and fast. The food comes out just minutes after we order, I love it. I would definitely recommend Neptune to anyone looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat!“

“Ever since I was little, I would go to this restaurant so many times. I have so many fond memories. Even eating it today, it brings back memories of when my mom would take me and my siblings to eat there for dinner. At the time, they would close much later than they do now. Thankfully, I'm already walking home by 2 pm, and since I live close by, the delivery was nice and fast. The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.“

“Good place to start off your day. Menu is simple and priced fairly. I had the basic eggs, sausage and potatoes. I usually walk by these small establishments without trying them and usually miss out. The place is cash based which isn’t a problem unless you come unprepared. My meal was good. I don’t want to make this review sound like this is a must eat place but it should be on all early bird places to get a good morning starter. The staff is pleasant so don’t hesitate to ask questions.“

Checking below on the comment and saw someone wrote something bad about the cook. You must not know nothing about food. I on the other hand gurantee Oasis food is real good. I love the french toast, the Cheeseburger with Crispy onion rings and they steak sandwich wich sautéed onions is bomb. They also serve great mangu for all my latinos that like it. They also have great chicken noodle soup that cant be bought anywhere else. If you are ever around tiffany and east bay make sure to stop at Oasis Coffee Shop. Just down the block is a nice park where you can take your food and watch the manhattan skyline from across the water. Oasis also delivers if you need food at the park. Free delivery! Also try their home made lemonade!!! Idk what else to shout out cause all they food is good. They also make chicken tacos and amazing qusadillas. Authentic mexican cusine and the right touch to make tatse ? thank you Oasis for catering to all of us at the point.“

“Ilona Lynch Stop 20 Diner is the absolute Best diner! They have the best, fattest anf tastiest burgers, which we had last night. I have been getting great meals from there for years, but last night was the first time I have ordered a burger from there, along with 2 good friends, and the burgers blew us away, along with the fries, being cooked to perfection. We have never had such thick burgers before at any diner ever, and they were so tasty and cooked to perfection. The onion rings were also excellent. A special thank you to the night manager, Manny for your service which went above and beyond! My 2 dear friends who were with me last night when you brought us our burgers also love the Food at Stop 20, and we send much appreciation and respect for your treatment of us, and the high quality of our meals! “Landed at LaGuardia just after midnight and needed something quick and dependable. Stopped by Michael’s around 1am and it delivered. Classic burger and fries were solid and hit the spot. No complaints. Open 24 hours, which is huge after a late flight.“
